  1. Saw Jim Carver from the Bill in Dulwich Park last week, and on Friday saw Jeremy Bowen in Sainsbury's at same time as possible appearance of Roland Rat
  2. I've been using IE 8 for quite a few months since one of their Beta versions and now using Release Candidate 1... should have stuck with IE 7. I'm sure IE 8 will eventually run smoothly but probably still a while away... so stick with what you got for now.
  3. Firstly, let's talk about United. The goal Evans scored was disallowed by a push from Ronaldo on Nelson, that looked pretty clear to me on my TV. Secondly, it was not even a corner kick in the first place which led to the disallowed goal. Why does it always take a neutral spectator to point out these things to you guys wearing your beer goggles in the EDT!? As for the Penalty - why would the Blackburn player hit the ground when he is one on one with the keeper!? Answers on a postcard.. As for Liverpool - Rafa *** ****** ** **! I like El Zhar, the only times he has been brought on a substitute this season (about 7 or 8 games) for Liverpool has been when the Reds have been losing - not once have Liverpool not failed to at least get a draw from the match because of the energy and enthusiasm he brings. Just cause the kid plays for Morocco and he ain't a big money signing does not mean he does not have talent..
  4. It just throws into question the credibility of the Premiership - if it wasn't a Penalty why wasn't the player booked for diving like Ronaldo earlier in the half? It strikes me that we have Referees not following the letter of the law, and this Howard Webb is supposedly the top Ref in England. Do Manchester United fans get any pleasure in collecting 3 points when arguably they should have been reduced to 9 men!?
  5. Firstly Liverpool will not lose to Man City. Secondly they have no chance of title as long as Referees like Steve Bennett and tonight Howard Webb continue to make blatantly dodgy decisions that gift United victory after victory. There is absolutely no excuse for not awarding a penalty for Blackburn and sending off the right back. Incredible!
  6. About 3 years ago I wondered into an Indian restaurant near Somerfield for the Sunday buffet by myself - as I was feeling a bit peckish having watched the football. The waiter told me they could not accomodate me as there was no space. I pointed out that half the tables were empty, then he responded by saying those tables were reserved. He only relented once I told him, the cock and bull story, that I was there to write a restaurant review for the Evening Standard.. That waiter was a lazy moron and it's probably the reason for your barman rather than racism.
  7. You need to qualify it with - they give up supporting United when one future day United hit the hard times, then I will agree. Few years ago I went to see the Charity Shield in Cardiff between Liverpool and Man United, and at the train station I bumped into an old friend from when I was a kid. I was surprised he was now supporting United and asked his friend did he know he used to be a Liverpool fan... oh yes... ah, I said, but did you know before Liverpool he supported Nottm Forest?... What a w@nker!
  8. The Frenchman Pascal? (think I heard it just now on ESPN Classics)
  9. Hmmmm not sure Wolf would taste good on the BBQ - best place is mounted over front door as a deterrent to local burglars
  10. Under Shankly, Liverpool had a King, a Knight and a Saint.... and Everton talk about their Holy Trinity... LOL
  11. Jeeeez, a Rat can carry rabies - you need to call Pest Control, as I don't think the general public are advised in approaching a Rat
  12. Mmmmmm I hate cats... so I'd also have to get a dog, and I'm allergic to dog hair... grrrrrrr.... Although I was always a big fan of Bagpuss ;-)

Well, obviously, if it included a Cockerel I'd not be best pleased getting woken up to the sound of Cock-a-doodle-do when the sun rises each morning.. but other that if they shared their organic eggs and the occasional bit of leg and breast then maybe it wouldn't be so bad..
  14. Which famous Welsh sportsman was known as King John?
  15. I was in Sainsbury's about 6 o'clock yesterday when I thought I must have misheard one of the assistants telling her colleague to deal with a "rat" in a certain aisle.
  16. When I was in Primary school everyone supported Liverpool - yes the good old days when Liverpool won a double every season..
  17. George Best?
  18. I read on Wikipedia (if it's to be believed) that, "Initially it was planned to run this line via East Dulwich to Wimbledon" (as someone mentioned earlier), so why has this not been driven home by the Government (seeing as we now know from TJMP that they are the real power behind these decisions)? If anyone needs better transport into central London (or onto the tube network) it's East Dulwich. This is where a major chunk of the workforce who pay the taxes for these initiatives seem to be based and yet where is the bang for the buck!? I don't think this East London Line will have much impact for the majority of people in East Dulwich, i.e. SE22 postcode, as it'll take most people 20 minutes to get to Peckham door to door whether by foot or public transport. It's a nice add-on for some but hardly worth a fanfare, for me it seems to cover up a lack of real solutions for transport in East Dulwich.
  19. It's supposed to be Steven Gerrard - so that is correct
  20. I wonder what "honk" would have said about the description
  21. If people insist you should only support your local football team, then maybe they should work and live in that same said local community if they want to be consistent in their prehistoric argument. In this country we have the freedom of choice to do many things, one of which is to support which ever football team we like without having to go on a guilt trip explaining why!
  22. Unfortunately the only exit point for the Mice or Mouse appears to be the same hidden air vent from which they entered from next door. I have a mouse trap box downstairs with poison and that's not be touched since I caught a few of the little b'stards some months ago. I spoke with the Owner who owns next door but as he doesn't live there he has so far refused to recognise there is a problem, hence the question of whether it was possible for Mice to breed in a first floor property. With electrical wiring be the only thing to eat on my first floor, I may soon be forced to yelp help to Southwark Pest Control to sort it out whether Landlord likes it or not.
  23. Yes Sir!
  24. I'd always thought you only get Mice on the ground floor of a property. Few weeks ago in my first floor bedroom I started hearing a Mouse scratching behind the skirting board and running underneath the floorboards. Now my first floor is sealed, hence why the Mouse was scratching as it could not escape. Now I think the problem is because the first flat next door is infested with mice* - and somehow one or two have come through an air vent of some sort from next door's first floor into my first floor probably where the joists on both sides meet the party walls. * The reason I think next door's first floor is infested with Mice is behind the neighbour beneath them has told me he hears dozens of mice running around in his ceiling at night (i.e. under the first floor floorboards of the flat above) Hope that all makes sense! So is this possible?
