  3. Trying to keep the kids quiet so he can sleep in...
  4. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,555766,page=1 Had a problem with my daughter too and got lots of good advice here, might help! Have you got family around who can help? Even just to hold the baby while you take a break? My step mother was over from NZ for part of the time and several times got up out of bed to help, while hubby and my dad snored through it...
  5. perhaps we could add our own verses.. if only there were an off switch to use when you make a peep then I wouldn't have to say again won't you go the f#*k to sleep please will you stop biting my boob with your four new shiny teeth and please dear daughter most of all won't you go the f*!k to sleep... (said daughter currently playing with the highchair legs in the kitchen trying to pull herself up to standing, obviously has better things to do than get a bit of shuteye)
  6. Depends on the child I guess.. my son is 3 in August and still has a nap, often in the pram so we definitely need a double, but if your 1st is going to be older (difficult to predict) then you may get away with a single plus buggy board, also you can put baby number 2 in a sling if the first really needs the pram. Also, a double buggy (even a phil and teds) can feel quite large when you're on the bus etc so if it is feasible then for your first it might be nice to have a smaller pram like the bee just to make things easier in terms of weight, size, entering shops etc..
  7. uptime Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > And also > bear in mind that about 6 months post-baby, great > big clumps of your hair will fall out... Mine didn't, not noticeably anyway. Think it's more that while preggers your hair falls out less, then makes up for it after the birth (not wanting to scare the op.. :) )
  8. I got mine on kindle
  9. I am loving this book, am up to the bit about marriages and how/why they suffer after baby comes, interesting stat about sleep deprivation, after a week of moderate deprivation one can experience a 91percent drop in ability to regulate emotions and a similarly dramatic drop in cognitive ability...
  10. Does anyone know what time the gates are currently locked?
  11. We are slowly getting ready so see you there!
  12. cleaning cupboard?
  13. you could keep an eye out for a mountain buggy double, you can get a carry cot attachment he could go in, also should take a buggy board..
  14. glad you got one, on the back of this thread i had a rummage at WHSmith lewisham this morning and got the last one there.. my little boy is octonauts mad at the moment, even pretends he is a pilot fish and nibbles on the shark grabber thingy we got from the horniman to clean its teeth...
  15. carry as little as possible with you, no belts or big jewellery to take off at security, same for kids if poss. also ask for help if you need it!
  16. another option might be to use your own or borrow one, and ask the driver if he/she could drop it back at your house or a neighbours house afterwards, probably for extra cost. we did this last year because we did not want to have a toddler and a four month old baby without seats in a cab in the snow
  17. we took one to Switzerland at Christmas and it was fine. practice folding it before you go (look on youtube) so you don't get stressed!
  18. Congratulations! That's great to hear. Sorry no suggestions on the storage issue... X
  19. I would go to a and e. They were concerned about my little baby girl not feeding well when she had bronchialitis (sp?)this winter and I don't think you will be tutted at or made to feel that you are wasting their time with such a small baby. They were fab with us, really kind.
  20. if they've asked for a cardi why not get them one that has been made specially, ask Pickle on this forum for example? In the first few weeks the baby will grow out of everything tiny but you could get it made in a larger size to grow into for the autumn...
  21. pancakes, with nutella (thinly spread for him, not so thinly for mummy...)
  22. 8 or 9am??? How did you manage that!
  23. I think you can safely go after the three month vaccinations
