  1. I have done a book keeping course but lack the confidence to start without experience! Silly really I know as if I never start I'll never get the experience.. I did the course when my first was a few months old and have looked at finishing the aat qualification, doing a bit of studying here and there but now with two I am so TIRED in the evenings that I haven't done very much, and every time I start I need to back track to remind myself of what I read before. It still appeals though so I guess I need to want it enough to find a way! Off to play with the kids and do my housework... :))
  2. Thanks! Will do x
  3. Am thinking of either accounting or teaching maths and English. I'd like to be there in the holidays and before and after school, but not sure I would enjoy teaching teenagers... Hmm.
  4. If you need back up we would be happy to meet you at a park...
  5. A sling? Or a cheap side by side for a couple of months?
  6. Any chance you could start him earlier and pay for the first two or three months? That way he would be settled before sibling arrives. Or start him later? Or perhaps find another nursery that offers fewer hours?

  9. Glad to see you're back online already! I also love the names, congratulations!! X
  10. I forgot to put the water in the stove top espresso machine. Gas element, I thought gosh it's taking a long time, hmmm whats that smell, should open the window perhaps, but where is it coming from? Bette r check the coffee, tried to pickup the pot but the handle almost came off by itself at which point I thought there must be something wrong with the pot (it was new) then clicked.... The rubber seal had also melted so the whole thing was glued together.
  11. Forgot about the cranberries! I have made them with raisins and they're still good, though 'craisins' are better..
  12. Basically a tin of condensed milk with some oats, coconut, seeds( I whizz them in the food processor to make sure the kids can eat them and also so they can't pick them out) plus peanuts if you want. Yum... http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/breakfast-bars-55
  13. I used the p&t only a handful of times in newborn/toddler mode. G quite liked riding so high up but a. I couldn't get into the shopping basket when newborn was there and b. G often needed to nap so it was better having him in the big seat and c. It was much less stressful having newborn in the sling where she could help herself to a boob if she needed it and I didn't need to stop and feed her while toddler ran riot somewhere! Ruth, maclaren plus sling is an excellent idea. I did p&t in doubles mode plus sling and put all my bags/food/nappies in the second toddler seat :0)
  14. The vibe folds with the double kit attached, not sure if it would fit in the boot of your car but wheels can be removed easily so possibly..? You are welcome to come and try with mine to see if it fits!
  15. No not the only one who has it or worries about it but perhaps aside from surgery there is no easy way of getting rid of it! Mine is covered all the time so I just ignore it! Every now and then I catch a glimpse and remember when it was not so, but then I console myself with the fact that it came with two gorgeous little people. I focus on the fact that I now have better arms than ever before due to pushing a massive buggy around! I would go with the control-panel-in-the-swimsuit option.
  16. Ofsted allow a childminder to look after three pre-schoolers , one of whom can be under the age of 1, plus up to three school age children under the age of 8. The two little girls are after school so I presume they are of school age, leaving Kristy free to look after one additional pre-schooler.
  17. I can have a proper lie in not a pretend one where I get jumped on elbowed bitten and my hair pulled and occasionally yelled at because I'm not keeping the kids quiet enough for the other half to lie in...
  18. Was about to dig up this thread to say that a child goes free with an adult with a nutella lid! Specially marked obviously...
  19. All baby clothes gone, Saving a few bits for my dear sister who is preggers, all the rest re-homed... Nursing chair? Moses basket? Crib? Tick Taken pill this morning? Tick...
  20. Could your husband take over nights with either child for a week? Have you taken newborn to a cranial osteopath?
  21. To all the dads x
  22. BTW happy fathers day to all the daddys on here!
  23. 7 is a lie in for me these days!
