  3. I just use orabnic baby shampoo, have him in the bath with me and wash the head firmly with a flannel then put some baby salve on it. Try not to stress, it's harmless.. never really goes IME but gets asked as hair grows!

  6. How secure is it, is it fenced off?
  7. Yes, 2 for 1 vouchers appear everywhere in the Spring usually (teabags etc) But if you have tesco clubcard vouchers you can exchange for "days out" vouchers at the rate of 1:3 and use them for legoland (but not in conjnction with other offers) ad that works out est. Then you can get a queuebot with your cash, one per child and one for an adult is WELL worth it! PS get there early and get the train to the far end then work back to avoid queues, take your own food/drinks and put in a locker. Take dry clothes because some rides are very wet. Plan what rides you fancy and your children are the right height for, print a map off the net and plan your strategy!!
  8. Ours like the backpacks. The handle can be useful to grab.
  9. I think at first your body hangs on to the weight as a cushion. After 6m you start to lose. That's my experience
  10. I have a severe allergy to insect bites and Eurax really does kll itching, for me at least!
  11. Done. I have some knowledge of building issues/budgets etc that might be useful too.
  12. Oh no, sorry to hear that Eurax cream/lotion is brilliant!

Provided they act honestly, reasonably and in good faith, any liability will fall on the governing body even if it has exceeded its powers, rather than on individual members." http://www.governornet.co.uk/linkAttachments/GTTL%2005.12.09.doc

What do you mean, exactly? The money under discussion is in lieu of services - Special educational needs (SEN) support services Behaviour support services 14-16 practical learning options School meals and milk Assessment of free school meals eligibility Repair and maintenance of kitchens Museum and library services Licences and subscriptions Central staff costs (maternity, long term sickness and trade union duties) Costs of certain employment terminations. Asset management costs School improvement services Monitoring national curriculum assessment Education welfare service Pupils support (e.g. clothing grants) Music services Visual and performing arts services Outdoor education services Certain redundancy and early retirement costs Not really red tape... it has been a long time since LEAs kep money back from schools for anything other than priority/statutory functions

Actually I have heard a fair bit from various Goodrich parents, and it sounds totally bizarre! But I do feel the need to point out that a drop from one year to the next in % achieving L4 in the SAT results needs to be analysed properly, as it comes down to whether a handful of children are present for the tests/how they perform and takes no note of their level on intake/any SEN they may havce. That's why the contextual value added is a far more meaningful figure. I don't think Goodrich parents will do themselves any favours if they don't seem to have any more grasp of the "league tables" than the Sun or the Daily Mail, is all!

It's not centre based. If yo call fusion head office to get your id and pin you can use the online booking for all centres
  21. I have bought a family leisure access card, ?60 pa, purely so I can book online, I got so fed up with sessions being fully booked.

  23. Emily Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- it is true that Goodrich has also slipped > down the rankings in Southwark compared to other > ED schools. And that may well be because some Southwark schools decided to boycott, whose results wouldn't have been that good... I am not saying parents have no right to raise concerns about the school, but looking at the raw %s year on year achieving L4 in English and Maths is a poor indicator of the real health of a school, honestly. These statistics are notoriously difficult to analyse and interpret, particularly in primary schools where one child can make up 2-3% of the cohort all on their own!

The fact that many schools did boycott the tests will have affected the percentages achieving L4 nationally and across Souhwark, is what I meant.
