  2. I WILL NOT RISE TO THE VERY OBVIOUS BAIT! http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscartoons/cartoonists/pju/lowres/pjun64l.jpg *lobs rotten tomatoes at all those that have gone before* Edited to add *action thingies*

  4. Ahem...yes...sorry to whizz past you like that...I was late as usual...poor time management skills on my part means that walking at speed becomes a necessity most of the time. Love to you, F and little one though. xxx
  5. Weegee Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Its about a 10 min walk to East Dulwich > station. Ten minutes Weegee...really?...someone as young as you? Takes me 4 mins. to get to ED Station!;-) Mr. Pallywotsitooos, Royalty live here you know...but being Chief Bhuna and all that you might just get a look in;-). There's a really friendly, nice community spirit, it's quiet and yet most things are close by. And as Ladygooner has said, lots of lovely neighbours. I love it.
  6. I'll bet!! Wish I'd been there. Oh dearie dearie me.
  7. No brum...but utterly hilarious considering your profession. *hee hee*
  8. Definitely "pimped up". Are they up to the job though, or are they just pretty?
  9. Deleted because of a moment of madness.
  10. Ah! Just seen, I cross-posted with your edit HAL9000.

Yes...I didn't want to say anything...but...katie1997...I think this is probably now the funniest post on this thread. Can anyone top it? ha ha ha *collapses in a heap in fits of giggles*
  12. Me too...might leap in and join them when hubby returns - weather permitting of course!
  13. Well, just been to check on the newts...they don't appear to be suffering...still mating away quite happily.
  14. Ah...OK...thank you. In which case, it looks good to me too!
  15. I was just wondering (and please excuse my ignorance in this respect) how many "others" there in fact are? What I am trying to say is, if the number is relatively small, could you not list them all? It's just that it would be interesting to see how many votes, say, parties like the BNP (and NO I am NOT a supporter!!!) achieve. Just a thought...probably a stupid one, but a thought nevertheless.

  17. Oh dear, talking of Oysters...you've just reminded me of another "serious" madness moment. Set out with Oyster Card (knowing I had to put some money on it - after all, hubby had only just reminded me) only to completely forget on hearing the train pull up at ED and run like a mad fool to catch it, to arrive at LB to find I couldn't get out of barriers and (Sod's Law) to find the British Transport Police in attendance with their sniffer dogs. ?20 instant fine! Horrible - I felt like a criminal.

  19. Well, this one doesn't bring back any particular memories...it's just my favourite tune ever...and I never tire of hearing it/playing it in my head. It still makes my spine tingle after all these years. Beautiful.
  20. Oh my Lord! I've just read through this thread twice. My stomach hurts from so much laughter...and I have (laughter) tears streaming down my face as I type. I know I shouldn't laugh at all your...ahem...misfortunes...but, I mean... Have we all just got too much on our minds or are we all just plain bonkers? The most serious moment of madness for me was when I drove off from a petrol pump without paying. I got as far as Catford (on the busy South Circular) when it suddenly hit me. By jove, I thought I was going to have a heart attack...palpitations, cold sweats, hyper-ventilating...you name it... and I instinctively (without taking due care to check that it was safe to do so and without a hint of warning whatsoever) did a U-turn on this busy road...nearly crashed into a lorry...received masses of (well deserved) abuse from other drivers and continued to drive like a lunatic till I reached the petrol station in question only to find that they hadn't even noticed! Frightened the life out of me though. Never again have I done that.
  21. A light dusting of what could well be volcanic ash on cars in Reading today. And again, aircraft noise free...and relatively traffic free roads/M4 on way home...wonderful - arrived home in record time. Hoping newts at home are fine (couldn't check this evening as too dark). Talking of which, please - no more PMs requesting newts.
  22. ha ha - sherbert lemons. Nothing could cut the roof of your mouth like those (other than sherbert strawberries). It was a real test of endurance to see how many you could scoff before the presence of bits of skin dangling from your (now sore and bleeding) palate forced you to stop. The lure of that sherbert...irresistable.
  23. I think that's a lovely idea Mr. Pallywotsitooos.

  25. Hee hee SteveT...I've done that too...I just cannot be bothered to put on my glasses...
