Hamburgers are called hamburgers because sandwiches of a bun and a ground beef patty were first popularised in Hamburg (New York) not because they have any ham in them. So terms like beef burger, chicken burger, lamb burger, fish burger and veggie burger are all misnomers. As indeed is the word burger unless you?re speaking Dutch or Afrikaans and what you mean is citizen. I?m not quite sure where I stand on cheeseburger. With that in mind should Roger Moore be able to use his bus pass on the 176 during rush hour or not?

This rule doesn't apply to Roger Moore. Especialy not on the 176.

No the rule is that if 2 people from the same family are on the bus the more senior of the 2 gets the seat, as is proper. The younger one (even if they are an adult) however has to sit on the elder?s lap so as not to take up other people?s seats.

Well I for one am sick an bloody tired of sitting next Roger Moore on the bus.

Do you have any supporting evidence for this? I may use it as ammo in my next salary review. Always wanted an excuse to call my boss short and ugly.

Thank you for the remedial lesson western politics there Magpie. I had no idea that was how it worked. It seems you affiliate with one of the preordained groups in modern politics (I realise this makes the world simpler for many people) and you obviously take offence to my criticism of this group. Perhaps you would prefer I criticise a group you don?t identify with. Let me know and I?ll happily give it my best shot. Me saying something that you don't like is however not a reason for you to assume that I am uninformed or that I have political views that you can happily package into a neat little category.
