  1. Sue - it's deffo not you. I really really can't fathom this one either.
  2. Anyone referring to a "go to"................ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  3. I've tried them both, and got LD and Green as the top 2 for both. I think I'm gonna be voting 1. Green; 2. Labour. though.
  4. Mick - don't know if you have water butt(s), but my understanding is that you can still use a hosepipe to water if it is connected to the butt, rather than the mains supply.
  5. Did you have them in a paper bag? Surprisingly I have found that carrots seem to keep better in a plastic bag.
  6. (Insert road name here) is very nice, I've lived here since year blah blah and I love it!
  7. Annette Curtain Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Oh lorks > > Not that old chestnut > > See here wee q :-$ Thanks Nette.
  8. Not sure about using olive oil for your roasties - doesn't it have a low burning temperature? You'd be better off with sunflower oil or just ord veg oil.
  9. Joggers who don't acknowledge you, when you stand aside to let them jog down the middle of the footpath.
  10. We don't have fish. I haven't seen any herons - but I must keep an eye out. No problems at all in previous years.
  11. Frogspawned appeared in my pond towards the end of Feb., which I was delighted by, but it has now completely disappeared, and there appear to be no juvenile tadpoles/frogs either. I noted on one of the other threads, Sue and another poster mentioned that theirs had gone as well. Has anyone else had this happen this year? Do you think this is down to the fluctuations in weather (the spawn did seem very early), or do you think there are other reasons? Birds eating it? Pond pH not right? Too much pond weed? I still have my adult frogs though, thank goodness.

What damage do you think the others are going to do?
  13. Frogs are back in the pond chez Wee Quinnie. Also hearing an owl every night. Blossom on the cherry trees. I love Spring!

You could send him a PM though, as he does post on here from time to time. Username is Colin. One of the other aspects of the poison is that it was laid inside little boxes rather than in open trays - apparently that's how the mice like it. Actually, if you find out do let us know!
  16. Was there something kicking off down on Bellenden late this afternoon? My OH mentioned both sides (shops) cordoned off by the cops...
  17. Let's hope the perpetrator has a nice big wall shaped hole in the front of their car.
  18. Who gives a ****? It's....A SUPERMARKET.
  19. I have been told by someone in the know that there is actually a bit of a shortage of property....hence prices being relatively high.
  20. Regarding the mouse poison issue....I have just had a mouse problem solved by Colin from K and O (mentioned many times on here), which involved poison which "mummifies" the mice after killing them....and henceforth...no smell.
  21. Congratulations Kyoto! One golden rule that I have found (and this is just not for couples)....if one of you is upset by the behaviour of your line manager (for example, or any other person really), the other person should not stick up for the person that is being slagged off!

  23. Oh I think I know this cat...do you live between Goodrich and Crebor?
  24. Karter...is there something in the pipeline?
  25. Pam I had a hideous experience with Myer last year and would NEVER use them again...but thank you for trying to help me out.
