I'm not sure, Sue... is Scott desperately scratching around for names? or did I miss his publican sarcastic wit?

The Actress is a terrible name for a pub.

Call it The Big Bad Wolf.

So if bedrooms are going to be dressing rooms, does that mean that the...erm...toilets will have 'novel' names too?

Like those ones where you have to stop and think before you enter.......in case you get it wrong* :o

eg. Gangsters/Molls, Drakes/Damsels, Helgas/whatever the male equivalent etc

Oh and good luck with it, can't be easy to rename somewhere, will def pop along there to check it out. The pub that is, not the toilets ;)

*yes, I am that dense at times.

I propose the new name should be 'The Green Man'. A favourite name of mine, also it represents inclusivity, with a common cause for good across Christian,Pagan and other faiths.

The Green Man also represents new growth and re-birth, of regeneration. It symbolises strength and security. All-in-all, a great name for a pub!

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
