Hey ladies, lovely to see lots of you tonight.

I mentioned the Baby and Toddler Show at Bluewater this weekend to a couple of you, we're going on Saturday.

It's on Fri 9.30-4.30, Sat 9.30-5 and Sun 10-5 - might see you there. My tickets came via email which I then had to print out - not sure if they'll do it another way or not as it's only in a few days.

Hi all,


Lovely to see some of you last week!


A few of us were talking about another Junies meet up and making it this coming Sunday.


I notice that some dates in May have been proposed above and maybe we can do one of those too - but as one of us will be going in for a planned C soon, we don't want to leave the next meet up too late, so would like to go ahead this wkend too.


How about 10am at the Gardens again? Happy to try somewhere else if people fancy - just shout!

Hi - this coming Sunday morning would be lovely, 10am at The Gardens cafe. Doesn't have to be just 'June' babies.. anyone from the wider group who fancies a coffee/tea morning also welcome. Just easier to chat in a smaller group and without the background noise of a pub! Jules x

Hello


I am a summer babies mum and am looking to borrow a bugaboo travel bag today if possible for a 2 week holiday with our 9 month son Marlo - just found out the buggy i had planned to take is broken so it is all rather last minute.

Hi all,


Unfortunately won't be able to come tomorrow morning after all :( There have been a few cases of povrovirus/Slap Cheek Syndrome in school so have had to go and get a blood test on Thursday eve to make sure I'm immune. In the mean time time I should avoid contact with other mums-to-be(just to be on the safe side) until I get the results on Monday! Will definitely be there for the next meet up!

I'm also due mid August and am a second time mum (he is 2 end of May) I also think Emma was who I met at the east dulwich tavern meet up a few weeks ago is due August and currently has a bubba too. (Emma if I've got your name wrong apologies I can't even remember my own name some days!!)


Is there anyone else due August? Let me know and I will try and arrange a coffee??


Oh I totally forgot to tell the ladies I met that night about the Epi-no I used for first birth. It's not that elegant to use however I swear that it stopped me Tearing and mates who have used it also didn't tear. It's ?90 worth every god damm penny I say . It's basically a balloon that you put inside you and gradually pump up to 10cm (size of baby head) and then muscles and skin are used to this size when giving birth.

      The plans The developer Berkeley Homes have submitted a planning application to redevelop the Aylesham Centre close to the junction of Peckham High Street and Rye Lane, containing Morrison’s supermarket, car park, & petrol station, Aylesham shopping arcade and most of that side of Rye Lane between Hanover Park and Peckham High Street. The application is for a mixed housing, retail, leisure and commercial development, in buildings ranging from 5 to 20 storeys. Impact Local people who have studied the detailed plans think that the development would dominate the historic town centre which has evolved since the 18th century, and would ruin the Conservation Area which was awarded in 2011 'to preserve and enhance its character and appearance'. More than 65% of the homes to be built in this unimaginative over-bearing development will be unaffordable by most people who live in Southwark, and provide inadequate open and green space for this part of Peckham. Need for discussion This is such an important issue for south London that it needs wide discussion before the Council Planning Committee takes its decision (not before next Spring). A free on-line talk and discussion to clarify the heritage issues we all need to think about is being held on Monday 11th November 7-8.30pm.
