You're right, the music made it, that's what's missing from the normal Saturday market. They have music (in various forms) every week at the Herne Hill market which is amazing... Come on East Dulwich!! 🎵

I was a little disappointed with the shops on LL not really getting in to the spirit of it all - a few balloons here and there and St Christopher's Hospice with a stall outside trying to capture passersby, who clearly had more important, non charitable things on their mind (given the look on some people's face), attention.

I thought the whole day was meant to be focused on ED community and traders not just NCR... shame.

I spent all day with those wonderful ladies, hilarious isn't the word {I was their steward} !! Children were either amazed or terrified but the brilliant folk that were out and about were fantastic. I'm at a meeting with the Council Events team on Wednesday so any comments can/will be passed on-- good or bad

I think it wasn't advertised very well as it did actually go up lordship lane right to captured on the rye on pellet road by the patch which was the magnolia ! They were spin painting and I had my jams and jelly stall and we had carol singers etc and also push studio had a Christmas market open yesterday . Nothing to say apart from abit on the back of a flyer that they were on . Shame

The stalls were great down NCR but the music was just too loud for me. Something gentle in the background is lovely but my head was splitting by the time we'd walked the full length. Shame, my purse came home a lot fuller than it would have done if the decibels were a few less. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time.

I didn't know anything about a market at Push studios - would have gone if I'd known.

I went down on the off chance to have a pre Christmas browse to get me in the spirit. Wonderfully organised, if somewhat too loud for me. I too would have stayed longer had it not been so crowded and painfully ear drum ringing. Nevermind, can't please everyone.

Louisa.

I was at Football Millwall..

Would love to of seen Chris Shaw... Lovely man.. have not seen him for many many years...

Chris playing his Melodeon whilst standing up... Doing both at the same time can be a bit tricky :)

As compensation Millwall won, beating The Current FA Cup holders Wigan Athletic 2-1.

Foxy

There were some cool elderly bearded people playing a weird english folk/sea shanty music. They were really good but struggled to get the mainly white, affluent middle class crowd to get dancing. I reckon if I'd had some more of that plum cider I would have been up for busting some moves.

Well, it was fun joining in with the dancing (at last I discover the true advantage of being stoney broke!)

    • There seems to be a change in the reception staff - did not recognise a couple of them when I last visited.  Not sure whether one of the long term staff has retired as not seen her for a while.  Used on line facility as my podiatrist recommended antibiotics for a toe infection and also took photo of my toe which I attached yo my request. Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
