TillieTrotter
Martini and lemonade, southern comfort and lemonade. I have'nt touched either since my teens. I'm a lager swilling geezer bird now which is much more attractive methinks:)-D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6003-teenage-tipple/page/2/#findComment-192946 Share on other sites

Smiler
Teenie drinks in Leeds in the mid-90s:Taboo and lemonade. Sickly sweet, used to interchange with martini rosso and lemonade.Snakebite and black. Stomach-stripping."Blastaway" (castaway and lager I think) - this was served at a place with a revolving dancefloor on a "drink as much as you want for a fiver" night - mayhem!Two-dogs / Hooch lemonade. Pernod and black (when could afford it). Brought-back-from-holiday-by-parents-Ouzo and sprite (very bad night when said parents had hidden all the booze in the house but this was found in the cellar)"Cripple Cock" cider. Did what it said on the packet according to a friend who pulled a seemingly gorgeous hunk. RosieH
Smiler, I sometimes (though seldom) rang the changes from a Taboo and lemonade, with a Mirage and lemonade, it's lesser known and I think more melony sister. In my neck of the woods, a Blastaway was a Castaway and a Diamond White. Ahhh, Ritzy... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6003-teenage-tipple/page/2/#findComment-193757 Share on other sites
LegalEagle-ish
In my teens we used to buy draught scrumpy, sherry and port from the off licence. We'd bring our own (lemonade) bottle and once it was filled up, we'd retire to the nearest field and down our portion as quickly as possible and cause mahem in the area. Cassius
I wasn't a teenager at the time but did know some West Indians who used to bring rum back with hash leaves in them so that the rum tasted of hash and then when the leaves were dried out and smoked they tasted of rum - double whammys. Keef
That sounds awesome! Remember the first time I tried Jamaican rum, I was around 14, and I decided there and then I didn't like rum. Luckily I later realised that not all rums are over proof! Asset
I drank a lot of Jack Daniels and coke for a time in my teens and was sick several times, can't even bear the smell now. Moved onto tequila and orange and have stuck with that one ever since. Jah Lush
I'd drink Jack Daniels straight from the bottle as a teenager. Once, when I was about 17 and tripping on acid I managed to drink my way through a bottle of Scotch, a bottle of Brandy and a bottle of Ouzo. That was some hangover.
