Teenie drinks in Leeds in the mid-90s:

Taboo and lemonade. Sickly sweet, used to interchange with martini rosso and lemonade.

Snakebite and black. Stomach-stripping.

"Blastaway" (castaway and lager I think) - this was served at a place with a revolving dancefloor on a "drink as much as you want for a fiver" night - mayhem!

Two-dogs / Hooch lemonade.

Pernod and black (when could afford it).

Brought-back-from-holiday-by-parents-Ouzo and sprite (very bad night when said parents had hidden all the booze in the house but this was found in the cellar)

"Cripple Cock" cider. Did what it said on the packet according to a friend who pulled a seemingly gorgeous hunk.

You must be around the same age as me. The only thing missing off that list is Concorde.

    • Sorry if my post was misleading, I certainly wasn't intending to encourage it. Quite the opposite. But maybe some are doing it already. This morning i had an appointment at tessa jowell and there was nowhere to park, not for the first time. In fact i did the opposite - I parked on Lordship Lane and ran!
    • Another recommendation for Kam. He painted our built-in wardrobe last week and he did a great job! Photo attached.

    • In it's own right a free event is potentially a nice idea- although reports from last year were not that positive. But, a free event in this case is not in my view worth the price of continued expansion of this event and privatisation of park space over the summer months.  It will be interesting to see if Southwark has declined to licence the further three days (meaning 7 in all over 2 concecutive weekends). The decision is meant to be in but I cannot find it.
