Exactly - for me buying lingerie needs to be discreet, changing rooms you feel secure in, supportive staff and a good range of sizes..

It will be lovely to a women's clothes shop in Dulwich that is reasonably priced, at the moment I only window shop in Dulwich so that I can get ideas to find the same thing cheaper elsewhere!

An idea I think would sell well in Dulwich would be to sell modern dress patterns as well as clothes. Lots of people are making their own dresses now but its a right pain trying to find decent modern patterns. Having a little corner with these in would be brilliant (also if they were decent prices!)

Good luck!

Can you not stock men's stuff too? Like the sound of your shop & fed up with having to go east/central for decent clothes... women seem to have a good choice locally but the options for men are dull and frumpy. I see lots of cool-looking 20/30 something blokes locally who obviously don't buy their clothes here so I'm sure there's a gap in the market.

I don't object to leggings in general (i look awful in them) but I do object to the new trend of leggings worn with t-shirts/top that aren't long enough. I just can't understand how anyone could feel comfortable wearing them, I always accidentally search for camel toe and VPL - i must look like a right perve.

What about including a range of cheap and cheerful young teenage wear? I hate shopping in Central London, given a chance would always shop in (East/West) Dulwich, but so far haven't been able to find much for my tall 12-year old daughter around here.

Good luck

Leggings - is so distressing that these are back in fashion, did not have the legs the last time and still don't! Boo hoo. But for those who can get away with it they are great.

Good news on the ice-cream parlour, not necessarily compatible with the leggings!

Hi Nick!

I look forward to popping in!

I loved many of the clothes that Petals sold and soon after it opened I bought a lovely top in the SALE! It was only after I saw 2 other Mums at my sons school wearing the same top that I vowed never to buy clothes in East Dulwich again, and I haven't. Hopefully this might change when I see your stuff!

Best of luck!!!!

    • Yes, I think that’s exactly it. I’m sorry my post was unclear.
    • FH is so much greener and IMO nicer than ED, sorry. Less commercialised.  The Great North Wood, Hornimans Gardens, Brenchley Gardens, One Tree Hill ) yep, some of that borders ED, so split between the two)
    • Tesco sell pudding rice https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/254877391   And as for olive oil, my preference is the Spanish 2L cans in Sainsbury, it has a real nice peppery taste, not bland like the Italian one's I've tasted, but that's personal preference I suppose.
    • It feels like a group who don't believe that private motoring should be discouraged and have no answers to the air quality problem, whereas the original Cleanairdulwich are campaigning to reduce pollution. Sadly we live in a world where if you are rich, you will generally live in nicer houses, have nicer environments and cleaner air.  That is capitalism for you, but I doubt whether there would be greater health equality in the former Soviet Union either.  Dulwich village was once full of industrialists and the like who didn't want to live in polluted central London where most would have made their money.  I will contact Cleanairdulwich and hopefully provide a better perspective.  Whether it is one individual or a whole community I support agree with what they are doing.
