I wouldn't describe the forum's reaction to legal threats as giving businesses "preferential treatment", but I know what you mean.

I shall lift the ban to see the effect.

I suspect all your recommendations for the same two businesses were moved to the ED businesses, restaurants & trades section where they belong. I have to say, the continued re-recommendations are starting to look a bit suspicious.

It is weird...her, the gardener and the plumber seem to have some kind of recommendation triangle going on :

Yes, I know what you mean as well but it was always a bit irksome that positive reviews were obviously allowed to remain as it seemed slightly unbalanced.

Thanks for the clarification.

I've replied to your pm.

Out of curiosity, how would you "take this further"?

"I have worked very hard to gain respect with my customers "

The irony being that it has been much easier to lose the respect of many more potential customers with your hectoring tone on here

If you were the last gardener in south east London I wouldn't use you if you paid me

You can put that on your business card if you like

As a business person with (in your words) MUCH RESPECT - you should be aware that you don't know many of your potential customers and they don't know you. But they will judge you anyway as that is what people do when choosing to hire someone

Do you understand that?

Hi Saied, I'm not getting involved with this at all, but should just point out that Admin is not employed to run this forum, they do it out of community spirit on their own time, so you may need to be a little patient.

We seem to have the whole recommendation love triangle coming onto this thread at once. The suspicions grow deeper...

I know you have sent me a PM. Before I get back to you please could you edit your posts that break the rules?

Clue:
"- Do not repetitively post about you services offered, this includes continuously offering your services to people with "I've PM'd you mate", "thanks for the recommendation" and "I can do that for you" messages."

Sorry this got lost in the flood. No, there hasn't been solicitor's letters but I have been contacted by the police about complaints they've had. Yes, they and I know it's not criminal, but in order to keep the peace we decided that the removal of some posts would be a good idea.

Hello,

I've just tried to edit my profile to use a more up to date email address, which worked ok until I was asked to input the verification code. I've checked both old and new email (no code email found) and reviewed your FAQs without joy.

Would really appreciate your help,

Many thanks

When someone asked a similar question recently at [www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk], I replied "I'd just try again. You should (I've just experimented) be sent a further verification email with a second confirmation code, which I expect would work.", though there's no feedback from the poster. My first guess, if that fails, would be that the email's been filtered to a spam or junk folder somewhere en route.
