Me too, and when you get those triple manhole things, you can only step on 2 or it's bad luck! FACT!
  2. Thank you BB, I was going to say that yesterday, but thought I'd get beasted. The Hobbit. Long long long, boring boring boring! Like the LOTR books, but hobbit is just hard work for very limited reward!

    Is it wrong

I have a couple of "games" I've played whilst walking down the street since I was a kid, and still find myself doing it. One is where a car can only pass you between parked cars, if it passes whilst you're behind a parked car, you lose a life. I can often be seen suddenly jogging a couple of steps to "get to safety". Oh dear.

  5. Although he's already said that speed will be his game plan.
  6. Peckham?
  7. They weren't as good as I remembered, but I still enjoyed. I thought the 6th HP book was the best written of the lot.
  8. Arsenal 0 Liverpool 4, would love it if you were right, but think that may be just a tiny bit optimistic!
  9. Piers, you like playing video games, some, not me, would call that childish. What is so bad about grown ups reading kids books? I reread the chronicals of narnia last year and quite enjoyed it. By the way, agree about da vinci code, but quite liked Angels and Demons.
  10. Is to feel human for the first time in what seems like a long time! Oh, and some socks.
  11. Money? ;-)
  12. CPT, my favourite pub in the world! You lucky lucky thing!
  13. Tea leaf reading?
  14. Wet Lettuce?
  15. Lol very true. I'm not sure the plan was to spar though, I never read that.
  16. You could be on to something there Piers. Maybe I've just been lucky, I have never seen an aggressive one, they've always been softly spoken blokes.
  17. Annasfield Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is for it not to be Christmas. You Grinch!
  18. Kessler I'll give you. One of 3 judges had Hopkins as winner, not convincing/ Roy Jones Jnr, finished. Valuev is no Klitschko, but I don't know, Holyfield hasn't looked good for a long time.
  19. I don't believe in class, I've stated that loads of times ;-) Now hang on. I never said she was nuts! I just said she was a nasty cnut, and I stand by that! RE: The people on the bus thing, I honestly don't see it as a problem like you guys do, and would much rather that on a public bus than answer my door, of my home to a stranger who wants to preach to me. Train, different thing altogether, rules out the window, everything on a train is anti social in my opinio. Not sure if you mean for mentioning bus preachers (which the rest of the post was about), or saying that Sean's attitude made me want to punch him on the nose (which I'd already apologised for and edited)? We disagree about things and debate our respective sides. When it comes to religion, I just find your tone gets a bit smug, maybe I'm wrong, but is just how I read it, and it has gotten my back up in the past, so I guess I may be reading in to things things that are not there...
  20. Superb!
  21. Apologies, I read it as sarcy and snide. JJF obviously read it correctly. Just hate people being superior about religion/lack thereof.
  22. To Mark, RE Man U fan in lift. I'd chin him. In my experience, whih is only twice I think, lots of people on the bus have been getting in to it, and raised their hands to pray with the guy "preaching". Others can easily get off, or go downstairs, or like I did, listen to their music and read their book. LOL >:D< Sorry for previous post, but a pet hate of mine.
  23. Deleted for being too Grrr.
  24. What, like blokes you'll find in almost any pub?
  25. Expected as much Sean from a few of you, but I have seen a couple of them who have been quite moving, and it's not nuts as you say, they believe in spreading the word, and are doing so. If anything, it's more clever than knocking on people's doors, at least they're guaranteed a semi captive audience.
