If you compare the data with East Dulwich, the numbers are similar yet many will say East Dulwich is not a particularly dangerous area...

New Website for East Dulwich Feedback Needed
KalamityKel replied to DulwichFox's topic in The Lounge
I presume you will be making the font consistent throughout the website? By which I mean same font and size on all pages - looks very much like a cut and paste job at the moment. I'd consider opting for a more user friendly font too. http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/#Guidelines might help point you in the right direction Might also want to consider advising links navigate away from the website or make the links open in a new window. I'd go with the latter so that viewers will still stay on the site. There's nothing worse than having to go back and forth to view information. -

Voicemails from sales calls: "erm... hello can I talk to Miss ***? Hello? Hellooo? Is anyone there? No?" -

85volga Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > As previously mentioned pop up?? So if you decided to go on holiday for a long period of time would you offer your house to others in need of a temporary stay? No, really, would you? I somehow doubt we, as the mere local residents, are in control of such operations. *shrugs* It's not our decision so let it be.

What would you suggest be done 85volga? If plans for action are not for the near future there's not much anyone can do about it.

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
KalamityKel replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James, Having received, last night, individual letters from your party regarding the council elections can you tell me why not all those at our house received the same letter? Some had the Libdem spiel about how bad Labour have done *yawns* whilst another had a letter about postal voting advising to register. To be clear, to avoid any room for misunderstanding - one letter mentions ONLY the need to sign up to postal vote, the other letter is just the normal rubbish sent from one party bad mouthing another. Both letters had a "application to vote by post" form included. All residents at my address are already registered for postal vote with written confirmation from the electoral services. Your (Libdem) letter is confusing and a potential to raise worry over the matter of registering for postal vote being done correctly and possible fraud - as has already been discussed on the EDF. This particular letter doesn't look official especially when issued from a party in the run up to an election! Surely this is not the responsibilty for running parties but Southwark Council! -
I keep toying with that idea katanita although I tend to find they don't fit in with my timings. Ah numbers, it sounds easy to break things down and believe me I start out that way. I often do trips involving coastal or coastal towns that are a short morning stroll to the sea - Canterbury/whitstable for example - mostly as I like blowing the cobwebs away that only a good sea breeze can do. I feel as though I should perhaps try something different but then urges begin to settle in for the sea again and I end up going round in circle. Being quite indecisive when it comes to myself doesn't help!

shouldnt put food in the machine in the first place sue. Tut tut -
Thanks for the suggestions so far... the more I think about it the more confused, undecided, and picky I become over what I might actually be after. Why does this kind of thing have to be such hard work!

Wise ones (or perhaps not so wise - not necessarily a requirement), I'm seeking ideas for a break away in the UK for a lone traveler. Key factors: lone traveler non driver small budget (not wanting to have to pay unnecessary extortionate additional fares for being a single occupant where possible) areas of interest that have historic background walking activities tied into the above a must not particularly interested in any "spa" or relaxation get-a-ways no set date for travel just yet so could potentially be on the look out for last minute (and worthwhile!) deals Any helpful ideas?

sounds rather stalkerish and illegal to me... *shudders at thought of looming by any "gents" loo awaiting for opportune moment*

I'd hardly call the additional rooms bedrooms... just rooms. There's nothing special about the house and the state of the bathrooms and garden? What kind of idiot is seriously going to pay that kinda money for that rubbish? I've I had that kinda of money to burn I would expect a high end spec for that money. I'm disappointed and confused how that price tag can be applied to a property that doesn't really offer value for money *shrugs* -

TFL consultation about Elephant and Castle

Sue i think the current problem is simply bad planning. Theres too many buses stopping in that one place. I could never understand why it was thought a good idea or even safe.
