The good thing here is that they seem to only shoot each other. This is probably one of the worst things I have read on this forum for a long time. What a disgusting sentiment.
I'll go and put on 'Electricity' now in his honour and wonder why I've watched hours and hours of footage of snow on the news and didn't know about this............
I agree - the main difference between football and the X-factor is that many of the games shown in the pub are only available on Sky and contrary to common belief NOT everyone has Sky. The X-factor on the other hand as Keef points out is on terrestrial and therefore there is no need to show it in the pub.
The word 'Personality' should be used with caution. Mark Cavendish did very well - I think he won more stages in the Tour de France than any other Englishman so has really achieved a lot............ but how many people are interested in the TdF?
I know that you are just doing your job but can you PLEASE ensure the leaflet is not proping the letter box open and allowing a freezing cold draft into the house in this weather. Cheers.
In Turkey the TV is always on but it seems to always be football, in Italy it is always on but the sound is invariably off, more like wallpaper than actual watching of tv.
Whatever the merits or demerits of X-Factor I can't see the point of going out to a pub and watching TV, surely going out to the pub is for meeting people, talking, communicating, socialising - not for watching the idiot box.
I cook nearly every night. Last night was risotto, tonight tian, tomorrow lentil pasta bake and Friday will probably have fish of some sort. I'd rather spend my money on decent wine and eat my own food.
I thought that it wasn't a perfectly logical number as I remember having to swim a strange number of lengths to get to 1/2 km - surely they have not changed the length.
All I remember about my actual wedding ceremony were the eyes of the female registrar which looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets at any moment, and her voice, as she 'en-un-ci-ated' every syllable. My bethrothed and I had to avoid catching each others eye or we would have ended up cracking up with laughter.
Sally - your wedding sounds just fine. I didn't really want to get married but did it to shut family up (big mistake). Peckham Registry office with just family & close friends, reception at home (luckily summer and hot) then a party in the evening. More than enough for me - no speeches, no official photographer, no official looking flowers.

I don't think it is the swimming but the exposure of flesh. Even in women only sessions some women are almost completely covered up.
Not madly wild about Waitrose fruit and veg - Lidl is much much cheaper (although you do have to take what they have) but Waitrose is a far nicer shopping experience. The aisles are wider, the staff are more friendly and the wine selection is superior to other supermarkets. Iceland does have fantastic offers on things like t-bags and other stock items such as sugar are also very reasonable. I'd rather save where I can on some items so that I can afford to splurge on others. Each to their own I guess.
Lidl do excellent Dornfelder not found in most supermarkets and have been known to do Icewine very reasonably at Christmas. I've never actually tried wine from Iceland but will have a look next time I go in there.
Just tried the pool too and really enjoyed it (and the temperature). Compared to the previous changing rooms/showers this is positively luxurious!! Agree that something needs to be done to keep it clean and dry though as the floors of the changing rooms were very wet at 8.00 in the morning.
