  2. The disinformation leaked out here is very very sad - I dont do G&B and dont really havge an opinion on them any different from (most ) of the other shops on the Lane, but Its slightly worrying that opinions seem to have been formed and sides taken without anything pertaining to actual facts being documented. quoting the Goebbels like stream of bleating that comes across on the blog is hardly objective and I have heard zero from any other "side" in the matter. lets be objective

There is probabaly a reason why you didnt stay in touch anyway
  4. Why not ask the landlord why he tolerates kids ? In many cases, faced with a Sunday afternoon with 15 miserable scowling old bastards grimly working their way through a pint an hour or the opportunity to get a few families in who will spend ?30+ on lunch and a couple of drinks - what would you sooner have ? ask where landliords make their profits ? Fizzy drinks at a quid a go make better sense than pint of surly old git Sorry, but its about survival- things have changed - it harder for pubs to survive, so this is what happens the familes will gravitate to the pubs that cater for them. the po faced old wankers will scurry for their wretched middens ans reminince about the Heydays of the Forresters. everybody wins

  6. I fully accept that my travelling has a downside, thats the way things work - this will get publicity as the wealthier are going to feel the brunt of it - if this affected the scummers in Tower hamlets or Dagenham say, then there would be a great deal less fuss. (see also extension of congestion charge & mooted larger vehicle charges within zone)
  7. for many, its virtual bling for one dimensional pram dodgers ( those whithout kids yet ) show everyone how lovely you are/ how many holidays you go on/ how popular you are/ how many slebs you are friends with its the offsping of new romantisicm / the face/ thatcher ( right kids )/ mobile phone "culture" / loadsamoney / x factor / big brother/ pete waterman / saucy weather girs on ITV without any qualifcations / etc etc etc to be fair tho, the guardian does portray it as some kind of Bond villain conspiracy, when in reality, its just to make monety from the willing victims out there

  9. on big tip - this hit the snorky houshold over the festive season - if you have sky / sky +, then disconnect from the phone line when you dont need their interactive stuff - out normal 4-6MB connection was reduced to 0.6 when we had teh sky+ installed and connected - I dont know what they do, but as soon as we unplugged it, the system jumped back anyway, its good practice to keep the tentacles of Murdochs information ghatehring minions at arms length - so disconnet it anyway.
  10. trying to keep it positive, thus removing snorky's gloominess. Feel free to change if you like PC Oh dear. a Smoggie.
  11. service is invariably rubbish from coppers. Bur regarding the cop shop, I think its a bit iconic - anmd im not being Ironic - it cerianily a memorable brutal building - who designed it ?
  12. So who drawls through the G&B Blog then? oh dear. "My faith in humanity and in what we are doing has been restored ? now we just need a proper rest and then we will be ready for 2008. We ended the year feeling really rotten ? although New Years Eve was good fun in both sites and Jude and I both managed a sort of forced, probably slightly edgy jollity, we were feeling pretty grim. I have been directed to postings on the good old East Dulwich Forum concerning the fact that we are now closed and note that I am thought of as both hysterical and rude by some its members, so perhaps I should choose my words carefully now." Curb your opinions people.
  13. I got up and made it into work it was touch and go,as I feel a bit sniffly and could do with a week off.again thank Gordon Brown, jesus and God for liberal self cerification and sympathetic doctors , helping the make the entire process of ripping off your employer much easier.YOu dont have to have a nmolotov cocktail to hurt capital these days three cheers for malingers
  14. My works amounts to about 7 minubtes a day anyway, so this type of activity helps fill of vacuum in my life called " well overpaid employment"
  15. deja vu Snorky suspects that there is an agenda behind some posters here.
  16. no cheap, but tolerated kids made the Goose Gfreen playground stink in the summer tho'
  17. never be honest with the police in a situation like this Im afraid - the forces of darkeness will use whatever they can to get everything in their favour - either say nothing or flatly deny any wrongdoing and cite vague witnesses - who can show up later if needed remember that the coppers are not the Judge - they are blue collar administrators - they can only file reports based on what they are told / witness - the CPS decides on whether charges will be laid or not many people get caught out in the " if I tell the truth, it will be OK " middle class mindset - this rarely works, as once you have committed a statement to paper, its the basis of any further action. remember - they have to prove it beyond reasonable doubt to get aq conviction - the CPS wont press charges unelss it pretty clear cut in a minor ofence. a potential mgger with a broken nose and a smashed cheekbone tripped and fell as he was running away right ? - you merely sat on his as he was lying there and waited for the rozzers to roll up - never admit to hitting him with that half brick you found in the gutter the police are only humans. they invariably know exactly what goes on in the real world, but dont give them aany cause to look into acompaint any deeper. it truly spooks trhe bad bopys and girls to find a vicitm lying coherently - they are not used to it PS- chuck the brick far far way or give it to someone to dump away from the scene, just to keep things straight
  18. I would like to make a sarcastic comment that the quickest way to heathrow is to matrch up to LL cop shop and declare yerself a visa overstayer with no means of support - you will be on a plane before you can catch your breath
  19. Alan Dale Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You saying they all look the same Snorky? Sure > *Bob* would agree. They come over here... Nah!
