Tough gig, yeah. But plenty of places where he could cut back on expenses... he's probably still stuck in a "big band" mentality, even though he's now playing to a few hundred people. e.g. bringing your own lighting guy and backline tech on tour is just not necessary at this level of touring.
I liked "Kayleigh", when my mum bought me Now That's What I Call Music 5 (also featuring "Axel F", and Rory Bremner's version of "19"). But I was 8 years old at the time. Obviously in hindsight, it is - along with the rest of their output - a steaming pile of soft rock turd.
Noticably better than DVD, but not as significant as the leap from VHS to DVD. Depends how big your TV is, how far away you sit, and how good your eyesight is.
Apple were ahead of the field for a long time, with ipod, iphone, and then ipad. But yes, it does seem that recently they've fallen behind a little. It's still seen as a cool/high-end brand, but they won't be able to rely on that forever.
Surely nobody in their right mind would resent someone who has built up a business and makes a positive contribution to the economy? Still confused by the original post.
I don't really understand the original post... what's the argument? That tax for high earners is too high? Or that there should be tax breaks for people/businesses in certain situations?
Surely some cities have a higher proportion of this type of activity, wouldn't you say? I don't think anyone suggested that this kind of thing only happens in Liverpool!
Quite right. Somebody has been viciously assaulted, some compassion is necessary here. It's not the right place for yet more discussion of bull breeds, or bizarre boasts about your kiddies.
I feel bad for you, because it obviously seemed as though you weren't doing any harm. But unfortunately, if you've caught on camera breaking the rules, you don't really have any choice but to pay the fine and put it down to experience.

I spent only 3 years of my life in Liverpool, and unfortunately knew many more people who were violently attacked (or witnessed attacks) than in London. Although of course it does depend on the circles you mix in, and attacking students was something of a hobby for a small number of local teenagers. But generally the violence seemed a lot more random and pointless than in London. > AND I absolutely refute that people in Liverpool > accept violence as a fact of life. I'm sure you have a fair point, it's entirely possible that the kind of situation otta describes may be restricted to certain roads/areas/individuals. > People don't carry out vicious brutal crimes because of their location. > They do so because they are f*ckd up and people > like that are found everywhere. I disagree. Some areas have a greater concentration of fucked up people than others (i.e. these people are often a product of their environment). Certain areas of Liverpool are seriously unsafe.
It is indeed sad and tragic on all levels. However, having witnessed the attitudes of (of course a small minority of) the local teenagers during my University years, unfortunately I can't say I'm shocked.
It's a strange one. I remember putting down Nippon gel one afternoon, and hoovering up a room full of dead ants 24hrs later, problem solved. Maybe there's some sort of collective learning going on?
