  3. emser - sounds like a very unnerving experience, but it seems you handled it pretty well. Definitely worth reporting to the police. Some of the idiotic posters on here are almost beyond belief.
  4. Yep, huge market for vegan food in SE22...
  5. A can of raid it is then.
  6. dulwichbeekeeper still posts on the forum, I imagine he (or another beekeper) will glady take them. Tempting as it may be to empty a can of raid into the bin...
  7. Drinking outside.
  8. The problem is that any journey involving a bus is completely unpredictable.

    UFC 146!

Is UFC/MMA really more dangerous than boxing? Genuine question... what recorded cases are there of brain damage or death? In boxing, you're more likely to receive repeated blows to the head over a long bout, which could arguably be more harmful. Besides - if two guys want to get in the ring and fight, knowing the risks, it's totally up to them. Nobody's being forced to fight.
  10. If this is what I'm thinking (like the houses on Fenwick Rd with V-shaped roofs), there's no way this can be done under permitted development.
  11. I really wouldn't worry about this setting a precedent. Not many houses have a garden large enough to build another building in. And only a small percentage of those that do would have appropriate access.
  12. Can't imagine it being accepted, wouldn't it stick out like a sore thumb?

Poor old Jamie... this discussion isn't quite turning out as intended...
  14. I think the house looks nice stevie, best of luck with the sale.

    UFC 146!

I kind of agree with Otta on this one... not doubting the skill/fitness/toughness, etc. I just find boxing more engaging and exciting.

    UFC 146!

Billy-Bob to beat his half-brother Cletus by strangulation, after 5 minutes of rolling around on the floor. (smiley face)
  17. Price is looking in great shape, isn't he? He's already 28 though... still, no reason why he couldn't continue well into his mid thirties if he doesn't take too much damage. We already knew Kessler was a level or two above Greene, hopefully there are some good challenges waiting for him now - Dawson, Cloud, Pascal, etc. I think Froch will give 100% against Bute, and I'd say he's the tougher, stronger, more aggressive fighter. But I believe Bute is more skillful, and will win a UD. Bute vs Ward is the fight we all want, and the fight the SMW division needs.
  18. I think TCC is pretty average. It's OK for a quick meal, and BYO makes it reasonable value, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. I've not been for maybe 3-4 years, but last time I went, the food was totally generic. The same old deep-fried starters, and so-so curries which were slightly lacking in size and flavour.
  19. Thanks all - very useful. Tanday, that sort of policy sounds fine, especially if the underpinning is guaranteed.
  20. I think underpinning is particularly problematic, as it indicates that the movement has been significant. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has managed to get insurance on a previously underpinned house, and an indication of how extortionate the premium tends to be.
  21. Thinking of putting an offer in for a house that has been underpinned. I know it sounds crazy, but it's a really good house. Typically how much extra does this add to buildings insurance? Double? More?

  25. I like the house (quite expensive per sq ft though). But the daft W&S sales blurbs would put me off ever dealing with them.
