  1. Is Nunhead Green safe? Someone told me they'd seen a police car driving past last week. Does anybody know what was going on?

It's the only pushchair suitable for the modern, urban, homeless environment? Shocking that the Big Issue vendor doesn't cough up for some decent private childcare - what on earth is she thinking?!

  7. Well that should make for a great sequel. You could write it from your prison cell...
  8. Or try tvfreeload.com. Pretty much every tv show ever made is available on here. Works best if you have a rapidshare subscription for unlimited parallel downloads but still possible to use without one (you will need to be patient in this case so prob worth spending ?5 on the monthly subs).

I noticed that as well. I just hope that the site actually works and registers even one vote per IP address. Andystar - in answer to your question, no, it's not. Thanks again - and please vote those of you who haven't done so yet.
  10. Thanks people - should have mentioned that it's a cut and paste form somebody else - I didn't go to London Regatta Centre to watch them...please still vote though, they are a worthy charity!
  11. Please Vote Here at BeyondSport website The Ebony Horse Club has existed for ten years in Brixton and it provides access to top quality horse riding instruction and mentoring for young people aged eight to seventeen years old. The club targets young people in danger of social exclusion, whether through school exclusion, home circumstances, health, or poverty. The club is now planning a major expansion to build a top class horse riding facility at Loughborough Junction. The Ebony Horse Club is Britain's biggest provider of access to horse riding for disadvantaged young people & ethnic minorities and the kids trained by the club learn important skills in working co-operatively together. The club provides other experiences for young people and I had fun watching the youngsters canoeing around the London Regatta Centre during the summer holidays. www.ebonyhorseclub.org.uk They have been shortlisted for the London Legacy Prize for the Beyond Sport Conference and urgently need your votes to win this prize which is worth ?20,000 a year for three years please pass through your e-mail lists. Please act immediately voting ends on Friday 26th June Thankyou
  12. Good for you, Lenk, that's great! I'm glad you are OK. It's probably because of the police car I spotted on LL yesterday - cause & effect, you see.

  14. It used to be a great place full of 'diamond geezers' - I remember it well, like it was only yesterday - :)-D , and a 'bustling' fruit /veg market and vibrant 'high' street. Then lots of 'middle class whites' moved in and the demand 'for' fruit and veg declined - (as these things tend to do) - (or so my Thai ladyboy friend who is staying with me at the moment tells me) ::o Lots of police around at the moment, crime is definitely on the up probably due to 'out of towners' from neighbouring yet deprived Peck'narm and Nunhead (also known as Gunhead by the 'boy yoot man dem') crossing the 'border' and coming into our 'endz' to 'commit' ferocious 'acts' of 'crime'.:-S You'll 'love' it here.B)
  15. Hmmm, no mention of the police car that I saw today nor the paedo clown. How strange.

They want to build another I am in contact with Thomasin and Trevor at Lambeth Council about this. Lambeth are trying to work out a way to incorporate dedicated piste into their plans so it's not all bad.

I hope that you are able to shed a little more light on this situation and put my mind at rest.
  18. I saw a police car driving down Lordship Lane earlier on at a non specific time. Does anybody know what was going on or why they were there?

  21. Ban facebook. It's a sign of the times, you can't be too careful and it beggars belief etc etc.

Not customers, Loz, it's the internet (and food bloggers) wot ruins places. It would make for a great South London Press headline: 'Internet Killed My Restaurant' - Sudden surge spoils secret sushi shop.

What's not to understand? IME idiot motorcyclists tend to use the green box more than motorists. Are they above the law? It seems that in this situation its rarely / never enforced. I wonder if the new BLUE Cycle Superhighways that BoJo has planned for the coming years will make any difference?

    a joke

The BNP further highlighted their stupidity and ignorance last week by flyering a group of Jamaican men in Brixton. They were trying to attract the vote of the Rasta Far Right. ___________________________________________________________ Nick Griffin was very upset that the eggs thrown at him outside Westminster still contained their yolks - he only likes the whites.
