  1. Sure, a cover won't definitely prevent theft, but out of sight, with a quality chain and lock, will minimise chances of theft. Someone even stole my cover once! But, if someone wants ithe bike, they'll take it. Best you can do is make it as hard as possible.
  2. I would advise getting a VERY good motorcycle chain and lock (google Squire, go for the heaviest chain) - expensive upfront but very secure and lasts forever. The fence needs to be at least as strong as the chain and lock, otherwise install a ground anchor. Also - it's a bit of a hassle each evening/morning, but get a good cover for the bike. Seems to be when its under a cover, its out of sight out of mind for thieves.

    How much !

Ordered a soy latte there the other week. It was actually very nice, however at ?3.30 and a cup smaller than a normal flat white offering I am not in a hurry to return...
  4. Pretty sure Loz has hit it on the head. Could now be clogged injector/s. Shouldn't ever let a car run out of fuel.
  5. Hello all, I wondered if there is anyone else on here that feels the same way I do about Crystal Palace NSC 50m pool. I love the facility and using the 50m pool. However the opening times for public swimming are amazingly frustrating. The public swimming opening hours are: Mon 7am to 930pm Tue 7am to 7pm Wed 7am to 930pm Thu 7am to 830pm Fri 7am to 7pm Sat 830am to 5pm Sun 9am to 3pm. As someone with a job, I find it impossible to get a swim session before work with a 7am opening time. In the evenings I cannot do anything other than Mon or Wed evenings. I have asked repeatedly if they would extend their opening hours. I am sure doing so would increase patronage as I don't think I am the only person that feels frustrated with these opening times, particularly as the Gym facilities open at 630am each weekday. By comparison, the London Aquatic Centre (also run by Better) is open from 6am to 1030pm 7 days a week. Looking for some support in petitioning for extended opening hours! Thanks.
  6. I have had sky broadband unlimited (non fibre) for a few years, I'm on Underhill Road. The broadband has been virtually faultless, speed always seems to be abound 10mbs and it's not restricted. However am just about to change providers as wanted to move to fibre, and Sky is getting a bit pricey.
  7. Not really clear how this affects you - are you in a basement flat and this is above you? Or... you are the adjoning property directly behind?
  8. Ahh, thank you.
  9. Bringing this back to life - another provider has sprung into the limelight. Does anyone have experience of EE as a fibre broadband and TV provider?
  10. Could be collecting food for pigs?
  11. Thanks Andybol, looks like Virgin is a no-no then.
  12. Thanks Bic Basher, yes noted, but from what i could see on the other threads Virgin complaints seemed to be quite location specific. Virgin slightly trumps BT on TV channels and price...but not if it doesn't work!
  13. Thanks Penguin. Anyone with Virginal experience down this end of the woods?
  14. Hello all - I realise there are numerous threads on broadband issues, I'm looking for some location specific advice. I am on the southern end of Underhill Road (Horniman end) and am looking to change from Sky broadband to either Virgin fibre (shock horror!) or BT fibre. Does anyone in my local area have problems on reliability and speed with either of these? Thanks in advance.
  15. All the 20mph limit has done, in my opinion, is negate the effect of having "main roads" and meant that it's now beneficial to speed down smaller residential roads as they are less likely to be enforced/have cameras etc. So i think it's made residential orads less safe.
  16. I don't have a half house, but I did look at a few some years ago when looking to buy. Two that I remember had loft conversions, but the staircase for both was up from the (existing) second bedroom. That put me off buying as it meant that the loft became a bedroom but the room with the staircase couldn't really be used for much other than a home office/sitting room.
  17. Is the aerial for the flat a digital aerial? Do you know if freeview worked for previous tenants?
  18. Going from Walworth, towards London Bridge in the mornings - once you're through E&C, traffic is much better than it used to be as all the congestion is before E&C. Going south on same route in the evenings, it does block a long way back for cars - buses get all the way down in the bus lane and then merge into the car lane, thus moving faster than non-bus traffic.
  19. Yeap, terrible this morning, massive queue back almost to camberwell at 7.45. Can't imagine how it would be later!
  20. Signed
  21. MCMC - could you advise what tracker you have fitted please? I'm interested to fit one to mine.
  22. It all feels wrong. The roundabout design had its flaws, but at least it worked.
