  1. I was agreeing by "understanding" Emerson. You may have missed that. I can cope but the bile gets on my tits. Quids is perfectly correct in what he says.
  2. Emerson, I understand that and it wouldn't suit you to take the blinkers off.
  3. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ...and whan Mick jones got that diving > header....... Oh how we hated that Leeds team then but it was against The Arse so still a corker in my book. This current Leeds team though are looking a good side and I watched them at WHL earlier in the season when we beat them in the Cup (I've forgotten the score but I'm sure DC will know). It's time they were back in the Premiership so hope they keep up the good work and get there (Jeez! have I been drinking? It's one thing to get plaudits about your club playing scintillating, entertaining, attacking football and Spurs have been great to watch but the point is to win something and we've won feck all yet. If I could have one trophy in our cabinet at the end of the season it would be the *European Cup. COYS! *I can dream can't I?
  4. You know it makes sense Quids. :))
  5. Freddie Flintoff? Freddie Carson? Freddie & The Dreamers? Going back to Woy. I think a large majority of the Liverpool support have had it in for him from day one simply because he wasn't thier beloved Rafa. Apart from Benitez who would you like to see in charge and how do you think they'd do a better job? Please don't say Kenny Dalglish, though I have a feeling you will.
  6. Nice one Sean. Good to hear that side of the coin.

  8. I'd quite like him at Spurs as it happens but would he be happy being a squad player or would he rather be a big fish in a small pond. He's got the talent and needs to make that step up. Does he have the right temprement?
  9. One player who has really impressed me this season is Charles N'Zogbia of Wigan. Despite his stupid sending off yesterday he has been their best player by far and has come on leaps and bounds since he left Newcastle. He has pace, skill in abundance and great technical ability. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are a few clubs in for him in the New Year. I could see him doing really well at a club like... well Arsenal actually.
  10. How much? Jeez!!! No-one else can afford that sort of money in these harsh times. Not even Chelsea and I'd be very surprised if they did something similar despite their current problems on the pitch.
  11. Hoorah! Well said Mick Mac.
  12. Emerson Crane Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- The league will be won by a fairly mediocre team no > matter who wins it. I can't remember a poorer > Premier League than this season. Hmmmm..... you're including yourselves in that assessment? I think this season is much more exciting as there are more teams in the mix and not just the same two in contention as has been the case year in year out. Looking at the Premiership at the moment it's possible that any one of five teams could win it.
  13. I was at White Hart Lane today. A very good couple of days for us. Two wins from two games home and away with ten men. Newcastle came to rough us up but our quality passing game won the day. Two excellent goals from Lennon and Bale. Up to fourth and above Chelsea. If we can beat Fulham at home on Saturday (which we should) that's a full nine points from three games over the Xmas period and I cant remember the last time we did that. COYS!
  14. Blackpool are in for a right messy fixture pile-up before the season's over.
  15. Another vote for Patisserie Valerie.

  22. I don't find Miranda Hart's 'sitcom' funny. To me it's in the same boring, puerile, gut wrenchingly safe mould as My Family and it's ilk. Jo Brand I've found funny in the past and the late Linda Smith was a comic genius. And for men to say women aren't funny is load of sexist nonsense. And I think you've been in the sun too long Huguenot. Are you being a bit of a cunt just for the sake of it or just trying to wind a few of the gullible up a bit? Either way it makes for unpleasant reading and coming from an obviously intelligent man like yourself you really should know better.

I got stopped by the police at one o'clock this morning. They asked me where I was going. I told him I'm going to a lecture on alcohol abuse and its affect on the human body. He asked me who gives that lecture at this time of night? I told him my wife does!

    The Pogues

No, unfortunately she was serious. But she took the insult (faggot) seriously out of context. If you're gay, it is not a nice word to have flung at you at all and I'm sure that's what DJKQ meant.
  25. Cheeky monkey.
