  1. I usually eat in the Centenary Club at White Hart Lane before a match. Tastes even better when someone else is paying.
  2. Jim Reeves - Blue Side Of Lonesome.
  3. Asset, if you think you're feeling lousy I can tell you I feel a whole lot worse. I've had six nurofen plus and three black coffees and I still feel like I've gone 12 rounds with 'Iron' Mike Tyson in his prime. Was far too periwinkled to play backgammon but I might just make it next week.
  4. Nothing wrong with Pizza Express in the Village lozzyloz. I'm very fond of their cheesecake washed down with a large cognac......lurverly. Meat balls and spagetti for me tonight with nice a bottle Shiraz/Cabernet.
  5. You made the right decision Keef. I'm still suffering.
  6. Blushes....Oh you guys.:-$
  7. That's not a hairdo Anna, it's a hair don't.
  8. Hmmm...left Keef trailing in my wake as I headed for a very late night at the Drum and far too many large JDs.
  9. Thank you Sean, my sentiments entirely. I'm feeling like I DID go to every bar in East Dulwich last night, such is my hangover and empty pockets today. Lush by name and a lush by nature.
  10. I'm appalled that there are people on this thread who haven't been to every bar in East Dulwich!!!! What the f**k is wrong with you? You need to get out more.
  11. Me too. I may have to consult my lawyer.
  12. Jarvis Cocker was right on the money with this track. Nailing the zeitgeist in three and a half sublime minutes. Pulp - Sorted For Es & Wizz
  13. Yeah, I think so. Weirdy beardies and speccy feckers. Win it every week now apparently. Boooo!
  14. Who cares, let's enjoy it anyway. Happy House? Der....aah! Going to raves, finding it's on some farmland off the M25, house parties, warehouse parties, arms aloft, shirt off, dancing like a lunatic for hours on end, e'd of your tits, "I love you maan," no violence, smiley happy people. Those were the days. God! I'm really sounding like an old git now. Have some of this maaaan and get into a Higher State of Consciousness. Josh Wink
  15. "We want the finest wines known to humanity."
  16. I went to the quiz in the Gowlett last night and the winning team got every single question right, which is rather suspicious to me. Bastards! We came a fairly respectable but disappointing fourth. Some people take these things far too seriously. Kind of spoils the fun. Might try the quiz in the Plough though sometime soon especially as it's nearer to my end of the Lane.

  18. Perfectly sums it up to me. Well done Sean for tracking it down and rehashing it. And, *Bob* of course for writing the perfect definition.

    a joke

Japanese Banks Never mind what is happening in American & British banking (Northern Rock), look how Japan has been affected. Japanese Banking crisis continues on back of US Sub Prime collapse. The knock on from the US sub prime market in Japan shows no signs of letting up. In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank plans to cutback some of its branches. Yesterday it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and more than likely will go for a song. Today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived and 500 back-office staff at Karate Bank also got the chop. Analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank and staff fear they may get a raw deal.
  20. Yup, you said it Mockney. I make you right there. Labels labels labels, that's all we seem to do in this country of ours put bloody labels on everything.
  21. Drinking along with the two characters in Withnail & I was quite fun but expensive. For instance you're not gonna get a Chateau Margeaux '61 for under a grand are you? But two large gins and a pair of pints of cider was certainly a little more affordable.
  22. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If I say the rhythm section on that track is the > same as Tin Machine Jah, will it put you off? Definitely not. Hunt and Tony Sales wasn't it? It was just all the guitar wankery and poor songs that did it for me in Tin Machine.
  23. Aaargh! Stop it yer bastards. Please please stop. Life's too short to listen to these shitty ear worms that irritate the hell out of us. Let's have something decent please. I know this has been on loads of adverts but it's still a stonking classic. Iggy Pop The Passenger
  24. I did do a double take when I read that Lewisham was one of the lowest in terms of drink & violence because when I leave work in the evening and have to travel through Lewisham from my eyrie in Canary wharf, I hear a non-stop barrage of police sirens. Must be something going on. Oh! and violence and drunken oafishness is classless.
  25. I agree Azul. I went up and down Croxted Road in West Dulwich from Herne Hill to Gipsy Hill and back on the number 3 bus recently and they literally are on both sides of the road 50 yards apart. Ridiculous.
