  1. I texted the site manager and the park warden about the possible pollution of the stream When it was discussed previously but no one responded. Talking to one of the lovely gardeners - he thought it was nothing suspicious Rather sand and chalk from within the soil.
  2. This is outrageous. Can we not just undertake a campaign of email by all of us concerned to meadow residential Direct. They have a website and a phone number to call. Why not just let?s all call them direct as concerned people from the area they promote (south east London) Perhaps if there are enough of us locals proving to be a massive pain in The **se it may make them consider how important our local team is.
  3. Let us know how you get on. I?m trying to see if there is a mobile number to call them on
  4. Crikey surely animals cannot be left out in sub zero temperatures? Is it possible for there to be an accurate record of the animals barking? Someone could turn approach the owners with valid concerns. If armed with correct info I would be happy to approach them myself.
  5. Is there a telephone number for the garage - sometimes they have a mobile number. I?m going to see if there is anything Listed anywhere - hope it is the right business !! I have called the landline number listed and it is not active. Hopefully that means they must have a mobile For business. Anyone nearby and see if they have anything advertised?
  6. Even if inside he must be freezing. If it is def the business identified then a phone call must be in order tomorrow.
  7. I think you should contact the seller and ask for a refund - I really do not feel that it is acceptable to sell children's items that smell of smoke.
  8. the junction of lordship lane and barry road did not appear to have been gritted this morning - it does seem rather inept that despite warnings from last week, the council have heen caught out - too busy looking at where they can put double yellows rather than keep the roads safe and moving?.
  9. any updates? even though it is in a garage - it must be very cold? fingers crossed the little fellow is ok
  10. I think the nspcc idea is the best route
  11. Slightly off course but there is a swan at Peckham now
  12. Great it went so well!!!!
  13. Have someone on the door (an older teenager is best) who can check for spirits They tend to tuck half bottles of vodka in waistbands. Bread and cheese plus the pizza Sound a good idea!
  14. Yes I saw a shocking pothole on that stretch between st Aidan?s and upland. Cars were swerving around it Perhaps the council could use some of that yellow paint they are sloshing about to clearly highlight where these potholes are . Someone has already said this but these could be lethal to a motorbike rider at night.
  15. The London animal hospital in camberwrll gave a dog that looks just like this!! 0203 816 1010
  16. Well done jdr - I would also intervene ( and have done in the past)
  17. I have sent my pictures to the site manager but no response yet. Those last images look particularly worrying Glad the drainage people are looking into it. Of course they?ll say it?s nithing to worry about (They won?t admit if it is !!) but fingers crossed they will put it right
  18. Definitely should be paid for a trial shift -regardless of future employment
  19. Hi James Would you be able to look into lee Scoresby?s concerns about the lovely old Lampposts bring removed on the path next to Peckham rye park. It does seem a shame if his concerns about their removal are valid. I have often thought how lovely these old lamps are along all those paths in that Area. Many thanks
  20. I believe you are allowed in a yellow box if you are turning right. Sounds like a real cock up in the phasing. Sorry to be harsh but I think think the whole thing has been a real mess. The swerve to go ?straight ahead? from calton/court lane/turney Does seem exaggerated and not safe and if the bikes phasing is not correct Then that is a disaster waiting to happen. Thank you for the link Re feedback
  21. This is interesting - I had exactly the same concerns about this pipe. For years it has been there and it has just been water that came out. Since the building work started there were other materials (sand?) coming out, but I thought that it was part and parcel of the temporary land disturbance. The building seems pretty finished, but there is still occasionally some sort of pollution (cement dust? plaster dust?) I took this photo on Thursday and sent it to the park warden voicing my concerns. ( I have seen this sort of cloudiness twice before) If it is either of the above then they could be harmful to wildlife. good idea to send to the site manager though and thank you for the number above
  22. Have just found this on the pavement opposite emily's fish bar, on under hill road near the junction with hindmans. It is very pale blue or grey, hooded coat which looks very new. I have popped in on top of a wheelie bin at 6.10pm today
  23. brilliant I am so pleased!
  24. I imagine that this is going to be a base for young people visiting london to sleep. We are in Zone 2 so they can have fun up town, see the sights etc and then have a crash pad. I don't see this as a natural pathway to hoards of drunken people staggering around the streets. If it helps the pub keep going then all well and good. I think we all have an idea of how hard trading is nowadays so every square inch has to pay.
  25. aha not just me then! I too was wondering if I'd been cut off. seems to be back to normal now tho
