  1. Friern road between Goodrich and etherow is particularly bad. I am pretty sure it is one irresponsible owner. Once again I picked up ten 'deposits' today. (I had loads of bags on me) If this DNA thing can catch the culprits I'm all for it. It's just not On.
  2. contact the building inspector at the council -were they who you spoke to originally? try Councillor Barber - I'm sure he would find out who to talk to sounds horrendous so best of luck
  3. Ok sorry to bring 'you know who' into the debate Zelig but I don't think anyone thinks it is ok for that awful old white/orange man to Do all the things he has been boasting about (including sexual assault, tax evasion and goodness knows what else) - that's why everyone is up in arms and protesting In the streets. I'd love him to also be brought to account and perhaps questioned using the techniques he Is so in favour of. Sorry admin
  4. The daughter is going to east Africa - and has had all the jabs etc but She is a complete mosquito magnet - any recommendations for the best repellant? I'm going to ask a Pharmacist but would welcome any suggestions Many thx
  5. Navy blue leather, Velcro fastening found at bottom of friern Rd (by boys school) Popped on bollard - hope it is reunited soon

  8. Hi there Can anyone recommend an educational psychologist? I need someone to assess for dyslexia And slow processing. Thanks
  9. But unfortunately I suspect Southwark council would consider it an option
  10. I had a coffee this week (2.50) and it was horrible - - nasty burnt after taste And it felt 'flat' there is usually a lightness to a latte. I have never felt comfortable with two Local businesses being forced out by a chain (totally Southwark councils fault) Just glad I won't feel inclined to spend any money at either of these ages and will save up for a Gail's From time to time.
  11. Thank you op for the heads up
  12. no that new fence is a different shop so there are two obstructions now. During the week no problem but a nuisance when the market is on.
  13. Also its a shame that two local businesses have been driven out in favour of a chain.
  14. Another recommendation for Tom. He was able to fit us in at very short Notice. Reliable, professional and reasonably priced. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tom and we will definitely be using him again.
  15. Do make sure you really research the breed of dog - some require a lot of daily exercise, others are complete lazy bones. If you have a lively dog that does not get its one or two walks a day, you could be in for a headache! Do have a look at rescue dogs - you could end up with an absolute poppet who is already house trained. Best of luck!
  16. Ah- the one that is near the stream and where the footballers store their nets? Many thanks
  17. So sorry to hear this - how sad. Could you let us have a bit more info as to where this was (which fallen down tree?) I kniw is lots of dog walkers who would appreciate any warning Many thx
  18. If you lost a phone this morning in dulwich park it has been handed into the bike hire shop
  19. Just had a big clear out of books and trogged down to the book bins in sainsbos car park - no longer there. Are there any other ones about?
  20. Hi I am looking for a Gcse science tutor for my year 10 son. Are you or do you know someone who could help him with double science? Many thanks
  21. Yes I noticed this particular stretch of road today (it is not my normal route) but it was dreadful. On the way back from our dog walk, I picked up 9 piles of poo between etherow and goodrich on the right hand side of the road. It looks like the culprits are just two dogs (won't go into details) but this is ridiculous! It should not be anywhere, but there are two schools nearby so loads of children, scooters, buggies etc run the gauntlet on their way to school.
  22. I think if you are a single person, or a couple, then a water meter will probable save you money. For a family , the costs will increase. My relations in Brighton had to have one, and their bills have significantly increased. If I was looking to buy a house, I would certainly think that having a meter was a negative.
  23. I don't think that everyone in the planning dept can actually read plans. There are a number of recent developments which have been built (so I assume approved) that do not comply with Southwark regulations (min outside Space etc) it is this hotch potch approach coupled with their lack of organisation that ensures developers can slip thru what they fancy.
  24. Just up the road from the great exhibition oppo shops?
  25. If you know of Darrell Morgan, could you get him to PM me - I have some post in error which is not junk.
