Last Sunday at Footscray Meadows, on the edge of London, I saw a Tibetan Terrier, Labradoodle,, couple of Yorkies, lovely Rottweiller, 15 Westies (various owners), couple of Cairns, couple of Kerry Blue Terriers, Fox Terriers, Welsh Terriers, a Border Terrier and Border Collie, various Cross-Breeds and 15 other breeds that I can't think of at the moment. Few Staffs, even less Pit-Bulls but we all know its down to The Owners in 99% of the cases if a Dog turns nasty. Can't remember the last time I saw a Pit-Bull and yet every second owner seems to have them on the mean streets of Hinner(sic) London...thats Hinner as opposed to Houter ...:)

Real Wimmin' are tucked up in bed at 7.00 AM on a Sat. Morning while this wimp of a Man gets up, has studied for work for a couple of hours, leaving in a few minutes, remembering to close the door quietly, while Her Ladyship continues her beauty sleep until 1.00 PM........and then wake up and tell me that she needs to take it easy and asks gently "Do I appreciate having a helper around"--I quote, verbatim, 6.00 PM Friday Night... Bless...B)

Spent a fascinating 15 minutes at the top of Brixton Tube Station recently watching the local touts attempting to do Business with the hordes emerging from the Underground to watch some Indie Group. They have their pecking order, their lieutenants, their hangers-on, their "ruckers", their "look-outs".and The Police were at the bottom of the stairs while the Touts were at the top. Most enlightening.

Come Come..lets get REAL here Guys...you cannae have it both ways......I moved to a lovely area, just like EAst Dulwich and, sadly, left all The Walworth Road Characters behind me....almost by definition they are from Working-Class stock... In Walworth I could name squillions or maybe just zillions but in safe, family-orientated Bexley-not one in 26 years... There was Archie, an alcoholic who wore a McDonalds hat, at all times, and abused passrs-by, like me on two seperate occassions. Once when I was using the local phone box he walked past, opened the door and shouted "f+++ing yapping" right in my face b4 slamming the doorand making off. Then we me and my M8 walked past him on the way to The Thomas A'Beckett to see Blunderbuss we greeted him only for him to reply "F++k the pleasantries!"...:)) Its like watching a Rough and Ready Football Club like Millwall the characters are 10-a-Penny, though not all desirable! Go to a more pleasant environment and most people, naturally, conform, hence a dearth of characters. I've learnt that you can't have your cake and eat it..B)

1/ Theme From A Summer Place 1960--Evokes memories of endlessly warm Summer days walking thru' the orchards and building tree-houses and receiving toffee apples from the Ladt on the caravan site who spent all day, every day making them. Childhood bliss for 8/9 weeks every Summer escaping from Inner London's concrete jungle. 2/ Albatross- Fleetwood Mac--MUST be played in darkness and in solitude, in complete silence. 3/ More Than I Can Say - Bobby Vee, one of the 1st records that I bought in 1960 again. 4/ See Emily Play- Epitomises The 1960's. 5/ Those Good Old Dreams- The Carpenters if you are in a happy mood. 6/ The Winner Takes It All- Abba. Clasic Song from a Classic Group 7/ Make It With You - Bread- 1972 and all that meant to me. 8/ My Cherie Amour- 1968- Red Post Hill and playing Tennis and not believing that my opponents Family Detached House in Herne Hill Road cost 15 THOUSAND POUNDS !! NO house could cost THAT much I thought... 9/ Lay Lady Lay- Bob Dylan- Beautiful Song. 10/ Follow You, Follow Me- Genesis...lovely song. Probably hundreds of others but I LOVE "Golden Oldies" being Pre-1990'S...LOL

woofmarkthedog Wrote: Oh and sack said cleaner, would be safer all round Can't do that. When The Ladyfriend moved in she was quick to remind me that she had known me for nearly 15 years and I can't just discard her for someone who, though perfectly happy to keep the place clean, has only known me for 5/6 years, so she is first in the pecking order, as far as she is concerned, and trust me, in her eyes, that is the ONLY opinion that matters...::o So she's here for life M8......

Delighted for The Gurkha veterans. Embarassing that their case should ever be contested, The Government got this so wrong. They risks their lives for Britain and the whole Country was behind them. Good to hear an inspiring Immigration Story after reading so many negative comments about Britain on other Websites from people who choose to reside here.

Here's something you don't see every day Sonny, a shotgun shell that goes bang , flings a string out the end of your shotgun barrel, and contains a patch & CLP combination that allows you to clean a semi-skanky shotgun barrel quickly and easily. Convenient. Very nifty and attention-getting. Maybe I should try that on both of them. That should be straight enough and concentrate their minds wonderfully...>:D<

I love it when the Cleaning Lady brings her adorable 3-year-old round "I'm nearly 4" to fiddle on my Computer so that it ceases to function after he has gone. It was even more amusing when he picked up the car keys and we all got involved in an impromptu "hide and seek" ..Great Fun was had by all, and lest I forget, the occassion when he went to the box and momemts later the Central Heating Bleedin' key went bleedin' missing and Mummy said it wasn't him (probably a co-incidence to be fair-a Million-to-One "co-incidence" mind). ...and how he pulls the dogs tails when Mummy isn't looking, they LUV IT, as they huddle round me for protection...... Can't wait for his next visit... But Mummy loves him "You are going to break all the Girls hearts in future!-Did I tellyou that hisshoes cost ?50??"....funny how she doesn't give anywhere near the same attention to the 5-year-old Girl and worryingly, another friend who comes round does exactly the same thing...i.e. plenty of tangible love for the Boy and rarely mentioning the Girl, who often stays with her Mum

There was a cruise ship that ended up sinking just off the coast of a small deserted island. There where only 3 survivors: 2 guys and a girl. They lived there for a couple of years doing what was natural for men and women. After several years of casual sex all the time, the girl felt really bad about what she had been doing. She felt having sex with both guys was so bad that she killed herself. It was very tragic but the two guys managed to get through it and after a while nature once more took it's inevitable course. Well, a couple more years went by and the guys began to feel absolutely horrible about what they were doing. So... They buried her.....
