  1. This is "correct" it is illegal to mix business waste with domestic waste. Southwark operatives may not yet be sophisticated enough to distinguish "business mail/waste" from "domestic mail/waste" of those who work from home. No doubt there will be a training course soon.
  2. Let's not lose sight of the substantive point that the local community has been denied a 100-hour pharmacy, seemingly through dirty tactics.
  3. Preparatory work for the new Lordship Lane gas main?
  4. The legal power to issue an on the spot Statutory Penalty might be considered "a mandate".
  5. I'm under the impression that a "statutory right of inspection" came into force on 2007-04-01.
  6. > The customers are great. Yes, great at spilling out on the public footpath and obstructing pedestrians.
  7. > Christ knows how their votes doubled in one day. Didn't you know? The new East Dulwich is ovine.
  8. > Anyhooooo, 6722kane, I just can't believe 6721 kanes had registered previously Perhaps one of those helpful names for identity theft?
  9. > Post of the year. Don't think so. Already been told that Iceland is not good enough for East Dulwich and old folk should walk to the Peckham Iceland. Already been told to move out of my home area. But, it is the first post about East Dulwich "pound shops". I don't know one. Perhaps this refers to A.J.Farmer no longer being good enough for East Dulwich.
  10. I wonder why their target customers are size 12(ish) or less. Seems a strange business decision.
  11. I walked down Lordship Lane this morning. No signs of a recession.
  12. I've lost track of how many local commercial properties Parkill Properties now own. It's begining to feel like a benevolent dictatorship. In promoting the value of their property portfolio they are now deciding which retail outlets the residents of East Dulwich will be allowed.
  13. Dulwich DIY has been consistently helpful to me over many years. They don't make me feel like an idiot when I don't know what I need to sort out a problem. They extend their courtesy to the smallest of items costing only a few pennies.
  14. Going back, Whateley Road leads to the police station.
  15. > lets shut down the bishop Only if it wins the East Dulwich Forum Poll. Due process is important.
  16. > Let's all campaign to make LL an alcohol free zone. I suggest a phased approach using the East Dulwich Forum poll. Close down the most popular drinking den first. You know evidence based policy makes sense.
  17. New Foxtons branch?
  18. As do the others. Not very sharp.
  19. A word of praise for the ladies on the Iceland check-outs too.
  20. The Bishop is next to Foxtons.
  21. Not in the new East Dulwich. Bonfires leave a carbon footprint.
  22. I really do think that Tintagel Gardens is the shortest street in East Dulwich. It's so short that most people don't know it's there.
  23. "Mr Ralon" has always been helpful to me. Whenever possible I pay local retailers by cash to save them the penal commission on credit/debit card transactions.
  24. > [...] Crebor Street? A lovely place. It is the smallest street in East Dulwich I thought that honour went to Tintagel Gardens.
  25. Up the hill is better. When global warming causes the East Dulwich inundation your feet will remain drier for longer.
