  1. Pretty poor display by Liverpool - although at 2-0 down they pulled their finger out for 15 minutes and showed what should have been. I cannot stand Nani, I'll not make any personal comments about the guy as it will upset people who think he is an honest chap. Is Torres a cheat, well if Fergie said it then it was probably meant as a compliment... although I think he is one of the more honest players in the PL. Great goal by Berbatov, although not seen it on TV yet, I've no doubt I shall see it repeated on Sky for many months to come...
  2. I don't mind JDW but and a big BUT I guess this is goodbye to the odd 3 p.m. Saturday match I watch live in the Vale
  3. I think the top 3 will qualify no doubt about that, and I fancy Spurs to top their group. So for me 4 out of 4.
  4. I think the correct term is Bible bashers Keef - rather than pushers. I was once promised, whilst walking through Camberwell, a McDonald's meal to talk through my apparent problems about God. The religious headhunter then admitted his real motivation was to see the faces of the other recruiters if he was able to bring a white man to the next Sunday sing-along.
  5. Big 4 is as referred by the mass media to the 4 biggest clubs in the land by exposure and following. The top 4 on the other hand is at this point of the season just temporary.
  6. Well it's actually the Big 4 but in regard Top 4 yes it would become academic if England were to drop from the 3 countries who get 4 places in CL each season. I think that England has higher co-efficient than Spain or Germany and with the riches in the PL I think it will probably hold onto 4 places for some time yet unless of course Plantini strips them of a place.
  7. Well I first started using this forum purely to get some recommendations on electricians, roofers - before I fully graduated to Football Focus :) They'd always ask how I got their contact details. Some of those I used would ask me to put a recommendation on the EDF. So using myself as an example that is why I think others have perhaps followed that same pattern. But I do agree that as the EDF becomes more widespread there will be more dubious recommendations dreamed up by local barrow boys turned incompetent electricians and whatnot.
  8. I tend to cross reference a person who makes an interesting recommendation. But a lot of people do sign up to give a recommendation after lurking around for a recommendation themselves as they may want to chip in with a good word about some work done by a tradesman. My first two posts were recommendations actually, one of which was for the Vale. So each has to be judged on it's merits.
  9. I don't rate Robert Green goalkeeping skills never mind him having the mind of a goldfish. Same with Carson and Kirkland - all hopeless goalkeepers.
  10. Only question mark over Hart seems to be his concentration - bit like that last great English hope David James.
  11. Wow, what a comeback that was by Everton! Two injury time goals... but you can't be blowing your whistle when a team is over half way line 3 against 2.. Here is some more useless information, red devil is crying in his beer... hehehe :))
  12. One rule for John Terry but another one for Wayne Rooney..

I suggested during World Cup that Rooney was sitting on a time bomb and sure enough the Hooker story is splashed all over the papers today.
  14. That's right sweep it under the carpet..
  15. Same old Rooney always cheating
  16. "sun maddened shepherds" at last an explanation for the bible and it's spin offs B)
  17. I think we're in the year boiling point
  18. Mick - they were soft questions, whether he hand picked Andrew Marr and vetoed Jeremy Paxman I don't know, but for me it was a book launch paid for by the BBC tax payer.
  19. I watched the entire interview and felt it lacked depth. I think a proper interviewer rather than that wet fish Andrew Marr would have broken him down.
  20. This is a great story, a 19 year old striker from the Irish league has been signed by German giants Werder Bremen - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/irish/8954637.stm
  21. Apparently he was going to Bayern for ?10m not ?18m
  22. Harry just could not resist a bargain could he after being told he was ?18m one day and ?8m the next. We will have to see how it works out but I think the Dutchman will struggle.
  23. What did Gerrard do? If I remember correctly there was a brawl but it was far from certain who'd thrown a punch and was subsequently cleared in court. From looking at the Daily Mail CCTV shots it appears Wiltshire has more to answer.
  24. No smoke without fire I think is what people were saying when Gerrard was arrested last year - just balancing the books ;-)
  25. Have to say difference between BK Angus burger and William Rose organic Lamb burger, I'd had previous weekend, was one extreme to other. But to explain BK aberration; it was the only hot food at train station.
