If anyone's free this Sunday, do pop along to Captured on the Rye at 11am. We have a parent-to-be tea group with a guest speaker, local acupuncturist Giles Davies with an informal chat about acupuncture for induction. More details are here, entry is free: http://www.facebook.com/CapturedOnTheRye

Hi ladies

Just a reminder about meeting Monday at peckham rye park cafe I think I suggested 10, so hope to see some of you. I will have my daughter with me too but hoping she will sit still long enough for me to have a coffee and chat!

We just moved house and have a serious plumbing issue so plumber coming at 9am, I live v near to the park so 10 should be okay but I might be a bit late depending on the verdict! X

    • Seems to be back on now although pressure reduced especially for hot water via boiler. Hopefully I can have a shower in the morning.
    • It’s far too hot. Dogs should not be out and you’re right to post this.
    • Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
    • I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
