Fear 'n boozin
I might try for some London ones, would like to get down to St Marys but the train tickets put me off. Am hoping we might end up somewhere other than bottom of the table this term, so should be more fun (given the lack of a manager and the -10 points I'm not going for promotion). Otherwise I'll be in the cpt! How about you? zephyr
My brother and parents have bought 2 season tickets between us. I tend to go down with my eldest (17) and sometimes second eldest (15) mainly the evening games. My eldest will try and go down with a friend on Saturdays probably my coach. He is trying the coach out for the first time at the weekend for the Ajax game (we are fortuate that my parents live there still). On occasion I have gone down on my motorbike. We definately go to some london games especially the very local ones. I'd have liked to have gone to the Ajax game, should be good fun hope the edlest enjoys it. You've got me thinking now - who are we playing in Lonodn?! Milwall, Charlton, then I'm stumpped! zephyr
Leyton Orient, Brentford (went where a couple of years ago in the cup). Then a little further afield - Southend, Gillingham, Colchester Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6748-life-outside-the-premiership/page/4/#findComment-226080 Share on other sites
Keef
So, Saints appoint Pardew as manager.A mate of mine works for Charlton, and apparently Pardew was very very unpopular with staff there, he's a bit of a c**t by all accounts. ???? SimonM
Well the bookies fancy the three relegated from the premiership to get back up again, plus Reading. But as Newcastle seem to be disintegrating rapidly I wonder if they will even finish in the top half of the division? I am not sure what Reading in a post-Coppell world are capable of either. But Ipswich managed by Roy Keane look a good outside bet...And you're right about Sheffield United - definitely don't back us!I wonder who Leeds will spend the Delph money on? Surely they are going to start the long haul back soon?? SimonM
For Div 2 I hope Rotherham finally get going again. Their fans have really gone through it in the past few seasons. DaveR
Obviously I'm hoping Ipswich will be up there, but it's been a strange summer of mainly rumours rather than exciting new signings. Apparently Priskin is putting pen to paper today, and Lee Martin, a young winger we signed from Man U, looks good. I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least make the play-offs.I think Boro will struggle to score enough goals, but they should be good enough for the top six. I'd go for WBA, Sheff U and maybe Cardiff to be pushing for automatic promotion.
