The Pope (whichever one holds office) The X Factor winner (but I'd check first to make sure I was slapping the right one), even though I don't watch it all of the Strictly Come Dancing judges EXCEPT ALESHA, I'd give a great big hug and a kiss on the nose, Huw Edwards, The Osbournes, everyone who reckons Pricess Di was bumped off by the royal family and Richard Dawkins.

That'll do to be going on with.

PGC how nice to hear from you, this archaic language you have adopted, alas I do hope it is not from the perverse study of law books, but more from the great bard himself!

Hast thou faire maiden had thy window pole fix-ed to yonder reveals?

If thyne answer is negative alas alack allow a pm to thy host fore whenst should affix thy dratted pole.

She needs more than a bloody good slapping, the morally bankrupt bitch.

I can't think of anyone I would like to slap. Is that normal? OK possibly some child abuser but otherwise I think I'm OK without dolling out a slap.

I recently saw an episode of the Katie Price documentary thing on ITV catch-up and I quite liked her. Apart from the whole Jordan thing she seems very down-to-earth and likeable.

Where's all this aggression coming from ED? Play nicely.

Hmmm... Some people pay good money for that sort thing.

I'm with giggirl and her distaste for physical assault

But then she praised That Woman and called her "down to earth and likeable" - which has made me reconsider

That Woman is just... it's not her ubiquity. It's not her utter utter lack of class. It's the very obvious (look into her eyes!!!) disdain she displays for the rest of humanity, as they flock to praise her "well, say what you like but she knows how to make a bob or two. And she looks after Harvey"....

Sod it, I'm off to slap myself in the face in the vain hope I can erase her from my mind

Steady on Giggi and SM, I think the slap we are talking about is the sort Grace Jones gave to Russell Harty, kind of a showbizzy-making-a-pointy type cuff.

Not the 'I'm Mad Me' Frankie Fraser type 'slap' which resulted in months in traction and extensive dental surgery.

I for one would never get medieval on the Pope's ass. Just in case you're looking in Mum.

I've unfortunately met this twit. My great aunts used to dance at the Rivoli Ballroom that the Luftwaffe could've done a better job on. They then followed him to his glorified shed in Dartford where he crooned and glittered his way round the dance floor.

I only met him once but his name would ocassionally come up in conversation at family meet-ups on my mum's side.

    • Ah but they do -  Janet Kay as well on Monday, but sadly I am away.  Surely nobody can complain about some Lovers Rock.  Surely.....
    • I am not here to justify or excuse Lambeth Council's decisions,  but you would have to be very very naive not to understand that cancelling several eventsof that size at auch short notice would be anything other than financially catastrophic for all involved.
    • I think it demonstrates the lengths councils will go to to appease commercial stakeholders and prioritise them over local residents and their own constituents. Councils appear to become very myopic once revenue is involved....
