It could be true. I fear it's going to be yet another nightmare journey getting home for huge numbers of people.

What can I say....... Southern experiencing severe delays on all routes, on top of this there are points problems at London Bridge causing major disruption in and out of station. Southern are trying to run a service however staff (drivers/platform staff) are delayed getting in. Most trains are running between 30/60 minutes behind schedules

I am asking for patience and again understand your frustrations so please bear with us, in addition staff will clear platforms and walkways once the snow has stopped. The information I have that it will continue to snow untill about 12/1300hrs.

We will do our dam hardest to get you home and have your stations cleared

All southern tickets can be used on buses, trams, underground (if you can get one of course)

Leaving Heber Road 7.10 took one hour to get to Battersea Rise via South Circular en route south-west London. Expecting nightmare journey home!

No buses are currently coming up/down Barry Road...reckon LL is a better option HiediHi. Good luck!

Northbound LL buses look OK now, have seen two 40s and a 176 in the last 10 mins. Both going all the way.

How do I get to Peckham? I have an appointment there at 3pm and I cannot be gone too long (walking) as I am leaving my son with my mum and he won't take bottles. GRRRRR why do the buses always do this?!

Trains still slow. Finally made it into work on 11:44 train which was delayed until about 12:20 (next train is cancelled, the rest simply show delayed). I was waiting at the station for quite some while. I'm hoping it will improve by this evening.

snowylady, where were you travelling from and to? I waited an hour for a train from ED to LB this morning and am trying to decide what time I need to leave office to pick kids up. Just checked live departure/arrivals boards for LB and ED - arrivals at ED all say "on time" and departures from LB just say "starts here" - just wondering whether this info can be trusted?

Heber School closing at 2.30pm. Nothing on Goodrich website so presumably they are doing normal hours.

According to BBC website, local weather forecast is for drizzle rather than snow, and temperatures not dipping below zero, so not expecting the nightmares of last week to be repeated.

Just had text from Goose Green to say that school officially finishing at normal time and after school club running as normal, but weather apparently worsening so if parents want to collect children early they can do so.

Not according to the live departures board on the National Rail website. Is that reliable?

LB - yeah i looked at those too but they also showed trains when I headed down to LB on the Monday before Xmas, only for me to find LB shut !! Thanks tho.

Southern Railway website is saying that last minute delays and cancellations of up to 30 minutes can be expected but no mention of the station being closed. Perhaps Barry will give us an update if he is allowed a break from shovelling snow!!

I got train at 15.18 from LB, ran perfectly on time. Had to leg it to catch it though so didn't see whether later trains also on time. It was snowing a few mins ago but think it may have stopped now.

As per my earlier posting, trains running subject to delays and cancellations but we are running!! London Bridge fine and points problems have been rectified
