  1. Realising the Police Station was closed, she bolted up Whateley towards the CPT...
  2. Actually, the KGB buildings were all rather grand on the outside. ;-)
  3. It's always been called the Crystal or the CPT. I think the owner decided to put it on the sign to copy the EDT, but my dad has always called it that, and that's what I grew up calling it.
  4. Keef

    Tights?

Did your housemate ask her if she'd had some put through the door? If she didn't, I want to know why not, we all need to know God Damn it!

The funny thing is, people on here probably think you're exaggerating... He is not! Sorry I missed you guys, will have to watch a match with you both soon, she is great value! >:D<
  6. I wouldn't say their selection is any worse than any other pub around, and it's better than several.
  7. Well don't you step on my blue suede shoes!
  8. Another case where this phrase is used. This is a total utter load of bollix though!
  9. Elizabeth, sorry to be nosey, but can you give me an idea of what flats are going for now in the estate? Mrs Keef and I will be looking to get a foot on the ladder in the next year, and will probably be looking outside of ED in Sydenham, but the DKH Estate is somewhere I wouldn't mind living at all.
  10. Hey roll over DJ
  11. Steady Brendan, you'll get Dulwichmum's temperature up with talk of dogging, last time she was all of a fluster! Plan sounds good to me... A good friend has a birthday around that time, but I would imagine he'll celebrate the following weekend, so should be fine...
  12. BBC Sport Quotes of the week, to remind us just how bright our sporting stars are... "I'm not saying we shouldn't have a foreign manager, but I think he should definitely be English." More words of wisdom from Merson. (Andrew Cowley, England).
  13. Christmas bonus, yeah right! I hate my job :( I think tipping is simply based on the person providing a service. If eating out, I'll usually do 10%, but if the person is really nice/good, I may give more. In a cab, if they are a moody git who says "seven pounds" with no please or thankyou, then they will get ?7. If they say "seven pounds please" and it's 3 in the morning and I am grateful they've got me home safe, they will get a tenner.
  14. Here is a bit of info. Wonder if the "Dulwich Church" in Pickwick Papers was St Barnabas. He used to drink in The Greyhound, which if memory serves, was a seperate pub to The Crown, and they later combined the 2 names. According to that site, The Greyhound he used to use was opposite the present day Dog.
  15. But they said "sorry luv but the stable out the back if full up with all the usual mules".
  16. Didn't he live somewhere near the Fox on the hill, or am I getting mixed up? Agree that LL could be made to look a lot more festive.
  17. Not just Paris, you should see the state of the otherwise lovely Bordeaux! Maybe I'm just missing something, but I have to say I rarely notice dog mess on the streets, and think that most owners are being responsible. I remember as a kid walking down Felbrig Road to school in the morning, and there was loads of the stuff! Don't see that at all now, in fact, maybe it's because it's actually quite rare that people notice it if there is a random turd steaming on the pavement. With regards the green, I don't really have a preference either way, although a fence does stop kids running off which has to be a good thing.

  19. Apparently the Hearn is very pram filled. The EDT and The Plough both do baby groups with cartoons and stuff as far as I know.
  20. Been done more recently than the EDT, CPT, or Drum
  21. I was talking about 1 & 2, I've not seen any yet.
  22. How about a whole new section for cat related threads so that I can just ignore it completely... Or, in seriousness, a "Lost and found" section.
  23. rob Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > unfortunately, it's a complete, unsalvagable dump. be lovely if it wasn't, but it just is. That's a bit harsh I think. I'm a bit indifferent towards it, but definitely wouldn't say it's a dump.
  24. The Dog would be good. Also think we should do the EDT soon, as that was a very early one (which I missed).
