  1. No, I know blokes who are, but I'm just not that kinky! :-S

    Great Gigs

When I saw them in '04, Shane was really quite bad, he managed the songs okay, but couldn't be understood between tunes at all, and had to go off every 2 songs for a break (and a drink I imagine). The following year he was a different man, seemed to be a lot cleaner, and just much more there as part of it, rather than just in a haze.
  3. Isn't it great being a bloke! >:D

I can't wait, for me it's the most christmasy night, and a real nice feeling. Went 04 and 05, but missed last year.
  5. You're obviously lucky he didn't stab you *Bob*, I hear he does that if he feels that he's been dissed. Alan, my wedding was fab thanks, but Polly was a blushing bride, and so in my opinion, more deserving of the accolade. Oh, and your mum sounds very sweet! You've obviously inherited a lot of your personality from her.

    I'm Tuesday :)-D
  7. Hmm, trying to work out when the co-op would have closed... Before the site was a Woolwich, it used to be a job centre for a while. Can anyone remember if it was anything else between Co-Op and Job Centre? Guess the job centre must have opened about 93/94, but could be completely wrong...
  8. But alas, not a registered poster, and so not eligible for the prize (I'm talking Alan's mum here, she might actually be a top poster I just don'y know). Think Wedding of the year should in fact go to PollyCD.
  9. Your mum.

    Quiet room...

*Considers power of the Super-Megatron Nuclear Space Blaster when compared to the Ghostbusters "Proton Pack" which was effectively based around an unlisensed nuclear accelerator*

    Quiet room...

*Walks in carrying silver tray piled high with mince pies* *Offers tray around* Sits in lazyboy and proudly opens Spiderman comic... Wishes there was someone else around who liked comics, always feel a bit inferior when they start talking about philosophy*
  12. "Mums don't need anything else to feel guilty about!" Why, what are they all feeling so guilty about? Also, ooermrs, how were you treated like a 3rd class citizen 16 years ago? (I'm not doubting you, I'm just asking as interested)
  13. "Most long and really very clever words used" award to Mr Mockney Piers ;-)
  14. One of my favourite posts ever was in a thread that was "kicking off" a bit, and getting heated. People were all coming on and having a go, and then CWALD offered these simple words. "Your mum!" That absolutely cracked me up!
  15. Blue Mountain was definitely a front runner! Franklins has had a couple of different guises. Was "SE22", but always looked a bit dodgy to me. Inside 72 opening up was notable for me.
  16. Again, chicken and egg. Don't think The Palmerston would ever have been done up in the way it has if it hadn't been for the area changing.
  17. That's horrible. If I couldn't look out of the window on to the river I'd be well gutted. It's all I do when I'm not on the forum!
  18. LOL >:D< The cloak's missus liked my sasauge :-S The whole needle exchange thing, comedy value for people getting wound up about nothing much. Oh, and Maurice.
  19. I with you!!! We have an "air sock" running through my office, which is a material tube along the ceiling that sounds like an areoplane. Loads of people have been getting ill in the last year since we moved to this office and they sealed all the bloody windows! (6)
  20. Agree with what you are saying Brendan, but also what Lozzy is saying. The shops we have today wouldn't have chosen the area to open in if it hadn't been for the estate agents flogging the area to a certain clientele. In turn, more nice places have opened, making the area more desirable, and leading to even more shops coming, like the new baby place, and the chandelier.
  21. No one cares about Man U! ;-) I'm a Liverpool supporter for which I make no appologies, but I'm also happy to talk Charlton, as I've actually seen more of their games live in the last few years than I have Liverpool (since leaving the pool). And of course, we all support the pink & bloooos! >:D< So come on ????, who is it? From your name I would have guessed Chelsea, but obviously not.
  22. A friend of a friend, after becoming a dad for the first time, set up a big warehouse near Oxford selling baby stuff. My friend went to see him when they were expecting their first, and said that although they spend a fortune, they saved loads, so when the time comes, I shall be getting my mate to drive me to Oxford! I'll see if I can get his details and post them on here, might be of interest...
  23. Yeah and a very weird one too. Zebedee Tring, I wasn't wishing WR anything other than good luck, I was just poking fun at Sean. Aaanyway, Cafe Nero... Nah, can't bring myself to really give a toss. If forced to vote, I'd vote for them to stay, but couldn't really care either way.
  24. Bit later than you're talking, but for me, going away to uni, then coming back to find the EDT full of young beautiful people on a Friday night was a big shock, and to me marks the start of it all.
  25. Is it a bus match? Sure AFC are the league above DH. I really must get down there soon, haven't been all season.
