  1. Didn't like Iceland but this isn't much better
  2. I saw an old map that said it's four miles from C Cross to East Dulwich Rd., and that was the boundary for taxis. Was it compulsory to accept a fare if there were no obvious reasons for declining one?
  3. No doubt the work of Brexit supporters
  4. Then three goes would be even better? Or 4, 9 17 etc?

    EU Petition

Can I start a petition not to have another petition?
  6. Why? Well, when you can see a park from your window, it'd be nice to sit it, not have to cart small children all down a main road.
  7. For a while Goose Green was fenced off into dog and non-dog. It was great. More people sat in the clean part, had picnics etc that I've ever seen using it. But apparently it wasn't legal to divide it up. So back to the s..t. Like most houses in ED we have a very small garden and I would have loved my kids to be able to play there, but as dogs are important than humans, they never could And don't give me the "it's really the foxes" again, please

    Stunned

I wouldn't want to live in a country that wouldn't allow Louisa her say.
  9. Who's our MEP? How much do they cost? What have they ever done for us?
  10. More difficult to hang pictures, though
  11. Years and years ago, in a galaxy far far away, Macdonalds wanted to open on this site. The Council refused permission, saying there were already too many cafes in the area. If they could only see it now.
  12. Foxy is quiet right. A lot of money was spent not so many years ago and, if I remember rightly, the lido was open for about a year. And a very busy, polluted junction doesn't seem an ideal place
  13. Libraries. Try the picture framers on North X Rd or Jeannie Avent. Picture House perhaps?
  14. See you in Sainsbury's, E,s Army. I'll be the one trying to do the maths on bottles of beer.
  15. Yes, E's army, I saw similar in Sainsburys - 40 tea bag box ?2.00, 80 tea bag box ?5.00
  16. Last two times I've shopped at M&S the items were reduced but the till rang up the full price.
  17. My favourite was a shelf in Tesco saying "50p off!!. Was ?1.89, now ?1.69"
  18. Very rarely check my receipt but did this morning and found I'd been overcharged by ?12.00. Helps the profit margin, I suppose
  19. Nobody needed my seat. Bus nearly empty. Complainant spent rest of journey swearing "f ing London f ing stinks" and so on. I had thought of engaging him in a rational debate, but, oddly, didn't.
  20. As someone who's reached their threescore years and ten, should I have been flattered last night on the bus in Camberwell to have been sworn at for "taking up an old person's seat"?
  21. Hi What's the Southwark viewpoint on a caravan parked on a residential street? One has been left on our road.I feel it takes up a bit too much room when parking is so scarce and one van could lead to more

    Caravan

Is it legal to park a towing caravan in the street? (one now outside our house). If it is, why don't all caravan owners do it? If not, who do I complain to ?
  23. On a parallel issue, there' a designated Car Club parking space on Crawthew Grove, near Lordship Lane. I believe the Car Club is no more. If so, can we get that removed?
  24. What about the back fence separating property? Ours fringes three other properties.
  25. OK. I am very old and can remember when receptionists had a book or diary where they could see empty slots and would book you in accordingly. This didn't seem a very difficult process, and worked, as far as I can tell, far better than it does now
