sorry...I love the way you guys keep saying 'all night party' midnight is not 'all night'. there is an asumption that this party was going to be a late one but it was not at the time of posting an 'all night party'

singalto Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Kibris that is a ridiculous thing to say. An all > night party is not acceptable. may I point out the OP posted at 12.10am.....not 5am. At midnight I would hardly label it an 'all night party' I think until 1am at the weekend one should be a bit more forgiving-and I actually work most weekends but despite that would never dream of complaining about noise from a neighbours party unless it carried on until well into the early hours.

So what if not everyone shares Louisa's views. so what if she likes to bang her particular 'drum' talking about class. you can chose to share her views or not. personally I can't abide smug middle class attitudes-I grew up on a council estate yet as a homeowner I would suppose I am now 'middle class' but god forbid I ever become a boring NIMBY like some of the plonkers on here!

But aged almost 60 I have never ridden a bike in my life. I really am too scared to start now It?s either public transport or my own two feet I?m afraid! -

I get the impression that the transport operators must think we either all work from home or locally. I work in a West end store so my working week can be any 5 days out of the 7. and any 8 hours between 9am and 10pm. Too frequently there are no weekend trains, or no trains on Sunday. Now a fair few trains are stopping short in the evenings. I'm sick of it! I can't ride a bike and am too old to want to learn on the streets of London, I feel at the mercy of an increasingly overcrowded expensive train service. Wish I could afford to move closer to work but that isn't an option. I am at my wits end with the deterioration of the service which as more development occurs in the area becomes more and more overcrowded. -

I am born and bred in Zone 1 so very much a Londoner. But London has changed and its no longer a very nice place to Live. Hove is beautiful but very expensive-London Houseprices. Look at Hastings and St Leonards-its 90mins to London Bridge or Victoria and I have several friends who have moved out of London in the last two years to be there. I dream of doing the same!

The 176 bus (has the service got extremely bad?)

As someone who works in W1 living nearest to FH station where trains are often out of service at weekends its a nightmare. I pay over ?1400 a year on an oyster card, and sometimes it takes 90mins to get from home to work. Its a bloody joke. not to mention the overcrowding! -

Walked past today, and saw what looked like cheap mass produced shabby chic tat. retro style signs reading 'man-cave' and some truly nasty faux gilt antiquey mirrors. I'd much rather have the young designer in a pop up than made in china overpriced retro crap!

Yes I was with them years and years (since they took over orange who I was with from day dot) and I found them very rude when I told them I was cancelling the contract. No regrets with O2

I changed from EE to O2 over a year ago because I got sick of bad reception in the area

New security screens at self-checkout in Sainsbury's

I never use the self check-outs as I always feel doing so is encouraging the big chains to cut staff. and I actually like having interaction with a human being. For me its worth the few miniutes wait to show the big chains that people (i.e.;the staff)matter and we don't all want to be served by robots. -
