  1. He LOVES Scotland. I thought you'd be sorted with the weather, Brendan - just firing up your indoor barbecue when things get a bit nippy.
  2. Yes he thinks its great - likes the variety and the fact that it's never gets "too cold"!!!
  3. According to Mr Wee Quinnie (The Aussie in the family)... British weather.

Good one BB! I could carry this look off myself if I shot up about a foot, whilst remaining the weight I am now. For me to wear outdoors I think would look a bit Oompa Loompan.

A wee bit. I do feel the cold, however Mr Wee Quinnie (despite being Australian), hates "overly warm" houses - so do I, but what constitutes "overly warm" differs for us. Somehow this seems to work out as the house temp suiting him more than me. Bah! I take it you think the outfit is a tad bonkers.
  6. Actually, no I wasn't planning on going out and about in it - I was slightly going off on a tangent there. Although you are right about the colour choice - I'd probably look like a radioactive butter ball if I picked the yellow one for outdoors.
  7. If you got one of those Lippi Selk bags - I am sure you'd feel soooo much better.

  9. Good luck with the chooks Chav. Will I be hearing jolly clucking noises from Barry Rd? How adorable!
  10. Sorry to hear about the Monday blues...I find chocolate or a nice cake helps me through the day in these difficult times...
  11. Hi all - I'd love one of these...but just for in the house in January. Is this madness? Should I just turn the heating up? http://www.lippiselkbag.co.uk/

  13. At the moment, I am a bit stressed as I am approaching an assignment deadline, and am aware of a ton of other stuff I should have done but haven't. HOWEVER, that said, I really enjoy it, and the course materials are excellent - and you get a great sense of achievement, etc., etc... What are you thinking of doing? If you have a course in mind, if you go onto your website they often have reviews of what previous students think of the course. 14. It's not a conscious decision they make to annoy you Kel. If they are deaf they can't hear how loud their voices are. Give them a break!
  15. Got to be Ken all the way. I used to like Clarkson for the same reasons as Brendan, but to be honest, that joke isnt funny anymore.
  16. Well I am a veggie and love the Rye hotel - altho I always have the same thing - the veggie mezze and spring rolls. God I am salivating just writing this. I wouldn't go to the Forest Hill Tavern - I went there recently and had a quite revolting lunch.
  17. Another update...they've come down to ?5 now!!! Yay! Surely the detox must be over by now, peeps?
  18. East Dulwich Supermarket. What????
  19. Mind you, of course, given the dates and location of the real thing: the P Rye one has a sporting chance of not being lashed off the face of the earth with rain.
  20. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I want to be a kept man. :'( Yeh - so did Mr Wee Quinnie. Luckily I got in there first!
  21. Well, it's always been my ambition in life to be a kept woman....and now I am one. Yay! (Work... its sh!t isn't it?).
  22. Keef you are so right about Branston BB. Yum.
  23. Hailstones anyone?
  24. Hi Tina, I did this very thing myself recently - after drinking only 1 cup a day. I would recommend you go cold turkey on a day that you are not at work, and preferably have a few days off - ie. do it when you don't need it to help you be alert for something. Remember also, not to eat any chocolate (contains caffeine). The downside is, yes you will experience a bit of cold turkey, for 2 or 3 days - it feels a bit like you have the kind of headache you often get when you have the cold. However, if you take a few ibuprofen, it will definitely help. After 2 or 3 days, you will feel like a normal person. I found that it helped me to sleep better, and that I wasn't so zombie like in the morning. Also, I had lost my afternoon craving for a bar of chocolate. I too love coffee, and I have found that proper Illy or Lavazza decaff coffee, is not bad at all. Good luck - and let us know how you get on!

    Back home

Tommy, I know where you're coming from. I was in Spain for 6 months between 2006 and 2007, and was mightily relieved on my return to find the place was pretty much as I left it and not awash with abominable Tesco Metro. Also, a few of the people down LL - shop people - noticed that I'd not been around. Theres no place like home (sigh).
