bigbadwolf
One of my favourite scenes was when they discussing the possibility of committing suicide in the event of being captured and instead of issuing him with cyanide he hands him a rusty claw hammer. david_carnell
I am now officially a child again for 2 hours so I can go and see this when it comes out:Where The Wild Things AreAnd I now also want to go to a fancy-dress party in that boys monster outfit! Does that make me very strange, or just a bit strange? Moos
The private boat for Max didn't have MAX written on it, as it's supposed to. And Max's tail wasn't nearly bushy enough. And the wild things... well, they were a bit wrong. This is what comes of messing with books that people love.(I've just realised after a few minutes of staring into thin air that I know the entire text of that book by heart - what a waste of memory space!) jaybee82
I highly recommend 'In The Loop' with James Gandolfini. JetSetWilly
in the loop, very funny, however my cinema choice of the week has to be "let the right one in", very atmospheric vampire film, in that the main protagonists are kids, an unusual but extremely good film, but only watch if you can stand subtitles. dvd of the week which i watched last night is "the baader-meinhof complex", cracking film which one would think in the arms of a guy ritchie et al would attempt to glamourise the group and their actions, this film doesn,t, it makes them out to be the terrorists they were, all be it, they sure do look good. worth a watch. Don't worry, they didn't kill them. No, they had to make sure they could go on working,... ..but they also had to make surethey could never run away. The operation was called "hobbling".Caan: Annie... Whatever you're thinking about doing, please don't do it! Caan: Annie, for God's...Bates: Shh, darling. Trust me...Caan: God's sake!!Bates: It's for the best.Caan: Annie, please!Bates: Almost done. bigbadwolf
Aside from what Sherwick wrote above I saw 'W' last night (film about George bush junior) and it was awesome! Josh Brolin had him down to the last grunting laugh. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2025-edf-cinema/page/12/#findComment-194570 Share on other sites
Keef
Mrs Keef and I saw In the loop on Sunday, and both thought it was very good. Lots of actors from The Thick of it, and a couple playing the same characters. There is something depressing about it though, in that it's all too believable.
