I also would like to recommend the spin doctor. Our AEG washing machine packed-in and got the Spin Doctors details from EDF. He arrived, identified the problem very quickly and even helped move a tumble dryer so he could access the machine. Fixed within an hour; reasonable fee. Highly recommended.

Another recommendation for Steve.

We contacted him as the bulb in our NEFF oven sheared off in our hands as we tried to change it! He advised me what part I needed to order directly from NEFF and then came and fitted it when it was delivered.

He also gave me some very useful advice about what products to use/not use in our dishwasher, plus gave me some advice about our washing machine.

I'd highly recommend him, as he is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, plus his rates are very reasonable.

I would also recommend Steve for any washing machine or spin dryer problems- we've used him several times (including today) and we've always had speedy, friendly and efficient service. Very responsive to queries, knowledgeable, and we've always had things fixed very quickly. Highly recommended!

And yet another recommendation for Steve. I called him about a washing machine problem, he diagnosed it correctly on the call and took the model number. We arranged a time for him to fix, he came round right on time, with the necessary replacement part, all done. Thanks Steve.

The delightful Spin Doctor arrived today and fixed my dishwasher (after the Neff man didn't). He came when he said he would, did the job quickly and it was less than half the price of Neff's call out engineer. Going to replace seal on the washing machine for me next .... Would recommend very much.

My washing machine broke last week so I texted Steve as I always use him. He replied that he is on holiday and will be back in 5 days....I was desperate to have it fixed asap so I started searching for someone else. There were a few (not too many) recommendations for Gabriel so I called him. I will not get in to details but I found him pretty impolite...Waited for Steve to come back from his holiday at the end :)

    • Sadly I think you will never convince people like this. They think gardens have to be kept chopped back and controlled. My theory is that this comes from being (or trying to be) controlling in every aspect of their lives, so I doubt if anything you could say or show them would have any effect. But are they actually coming into your garden or leaning over into it and pulling up/damaging things? If so, maybe one of our community police people could have a word with them?
    • Dear Nature lovers - advice please. I am being harassed by a neighbour who doesn't like my standard of gardening which she calls 'messy'. (I have rewilded my garden with advice from the London Wildlife Trust and a gardening expert from The Times.) I have twice caught this neighbour and her husband pulling up my plants and damaging my trees. Plus she has photographed my house, and sent a dozen complaints to the Dulwich Estate about my plan to rewild the verge outside my property - approved by the Estate some 4 years ago in line with their stated policy of supporting biodiversity in and around Dulwich. What can I do to introduce these neighbours  to the benefits to us all of returning a portion of our gardens to nature?
    • Have you tried Southwark's leisure centres? As a regular attendee at Peckham, Camberwell, The Castle and speaking to friends, the dance routines for all ages are similar to Silver ones. In addition Natty, Bianca and Isac are brilliant instructors.
    • I've been there for lunch a few times and the home cooked asian food (as part of Sweat Dreams cafe) is genuinely great and a must try. I think the food side of the business has been slow to be noticed but people are now realising what is actually hidden in plain sight.  As for the Aroma Lab coffee ... it is excellent, they are very welcoming and friendly (and unpretentious!). This Australian coffee snob is mightily impressed!!
