I understood the question perfectly. But I'm not really sure why you're asking it. The OP is obviously initiating this as part of their role within a cancer support organisation. So if you're suggesting that they open it up to the wider community, then that would clearly be out of scope.

ianr Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is there any rationale for restricting such help to cancer patients? Yes there is - and it ties in with langlounge's point. I believe that freedom passes are generally only available for people with more severe or long term mobility issues. A cancer patient suffering from exhaustion and fatigue may not meet that criteria, so I can see how having transport costs covered could be a huge help.

anyone had more than 3m side return extension??

Yes it's permitted. By potential impact on neighbours, are you talking about loss of light? -

Sounds like that's the doctor's fault then...

uncleglen, everyone's opinion is valid of course, but I tend to disagree. Children and teenagers see adults drinking alcohol all the time, they already see it as the standard way for adults to socialise, relax, celebrate, etc. They see drinking as a sign of being a grown-up... alcohol's role in society is surely a far stronger lure than advertising could ever be. Advertising may affect the choice of brand, but in my opinion is unlikely to be the cause of underage drinking.

I don't think I've EVER been prescribed antibiotics for a cold, so I don't really get your point Rosie. In fact I don't think the doctor would even see you for something so trivial. I've also no idea how drinking raw milk impacts the health of others, despite UncleBen's insightful (as always) explanation. I'm not in the slightest bit interested in raw milk though. But then, as someone who only buys one pint of milk a week to pour onto the cereal on Sunday morning (and thinks organic veg boxes are a completely daft idea), I'm hardly the target market.

The number of belts/bodies is of course the biggest problem in boxing today. I'd also suggest that there are too many divisions... we could probably make do with 10-12 rather than the 16 or whatever we currently have.

Why single out cinema advertising? Rather than TV, printed media, billboards, etc?

It's so hard for new bands to make any money now, you really need a bit of cash behind you just so you can get out there and go on the road.

Yeah I like Fish Chips and More too. Never eaten in, but had a couple of takeaways and it were proper good.

Master Fryer near the station is our regular. Ate in the Sea Cow a few weeks ago and the fish was fine (albeit rather small) but the chips were a little dry and floury.

106 Lordship Lane planning application - Refused

Sjf1 - I do understand why you're concerned about the loss of privacy, and it sounds like you have reasonable grounds for appeal. But - you do seem to be over dramatising this, I highly doubt any diners will really want to sit there and stare at your kids as you describe. Even if they did, investing in a pair of curtains could solve that one. -

Not against another restaurant per se. Good luck to them. But as DD says, walking along LL during the week, so many of the places are pretty empty. It seems we have too much quantity and not enough quality. As with SJ's pub example, if new places opening up manage to raise the bar, then I'm sure they'll do well. -

Dex, you're right there are only so many restaurants an area can sustain. If it's really great or different then it might possibly attract people from outside the area, but this one doesn't exactly sound revolutionary. But we'll see. -

That may well be the case, but the business has now gone so surely it's irrelevant to the application? -

The quality of the food was so hit-and-miss at Locale... the first time I went there I had one of the best meals I've ever eaten round these parts. The second time I ordered the same starter and got a plate of unappetizing stodge.

It's actually been happening for a while, ever since the latest timetable came into effect. The 7:30am usually leaves at more like 7:28. Very frustrating at first... I actually set my watch 2 minutes fast as a result!

Yeah, I know what you mean. During my single days I also found it hard to predict whether I'd be going home with a hot girl at the end of the night.

Sorry to hear that - did they steal the keys from the house first? Pretty difficult to steal any modern car without the key... steveo - surely more likely to be "professional" theft than joy riding, there's a lot of demand for 2nd hand Fiat 500s.

Any one know how to get Wimbledon tickets for the final ?

We did this a couple of years ago... a small number of tickets are allocated 2 days beforehand, and we picked up a couple of centre court tickets. Not sure that works for the final though.
