Southwark Recycling Centre - is it open?
KidKruger replied to dimjim79's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
If you mean you want to print the permit, you don?t need to. I didn?t. Just have it on your phone or tablet to show through the window of your car. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Am I the only person who doesn't have a printer ? > I used to go the library for the rare things I > needed . -
Agreed.

Some fair points there Foxy.

I reckon. I tried messaging you but cannot.

'trash' left from yesterday.....! perhaps the person/people thought that, strictly speaking, they're not actually leaving 'trash' behind !

"Well you should not worry about passing it on as it is down to others to isolate if they are worried about catching it" Ultimately, I suppose you could say we each have to make our own provision to ensure our own safety. But to put the responsibility for staying safe entirely on those concerned about catching the virus is entirely wrong. Perhaps you didn't mean to write that. If a jogger brushing past me without warning and without distancing is my responsibility/problem, with jogger having no responsibility, that doesn't sound like social responsibility to me. I would hope that every person SHOULD worry about passing the virus on, no ? In fact, hasn't "control the virus" actually been the core of the Govt's advice ?!

jclarke - looks like you're in a position to not only advise the "bourgeoisie, entitled of ED, how unaware they are of how the other half live", but also you have spare accommodations you could let the homeless unfortunates use until the AirBNB market picks up again. Unless you were just 'advertising for a friend'.. Chick Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Talk about bourgeoise: > > /forum/read.php? > 30,1961260,1961260#msg-1961260

Recommendation Required For Decent Route By Car For Testing Eyesight
KidKruger replied to KidKruger's topic in The Lounge
I don?t know how bad DC?s vision really is, but he sure as shite can?t see when he?s breaking the rules that he himself helped author and issue. -
"..Obviously the bourgeoisie, entitled of ED are unaware of how the other half live" Obviously you're talking out of your arse with generalisations like that. Not sure your 'point' is gonna be heard when insulting local people you know nothing about.

Recommendation Required For Decent Route By Car For Testing Eyesight
KidKruger replied to KidKruger's topic in The Lounge
....or just lucky !! -
Yeah, the risk is entirely on individuals who are IMO effectively being pressured to squeeze into decreasing public space because of the encouraged return to work. I wonder if the reason the Govt is not saying wearing masks outside (or at least on public transport) is mandatory is because they know we can't all easily get them. A case of the requirements for safety being changed according to facilities available.

Two week quaranteen for travellers ariving in the UK
KidKruger replied to malumbu's topic in The Lounge
?Can anyone explain this? As most of mainland Europe is ahead of us in ending the lockdown with lower rates of infection it is more likely that the UK will export coronavirus? Sorry, not with you quite on this. How could the likelihood of the UK exporting coronavirus depend on whether other countries have a lower (or higher) rate of infection in the UK? They are entirely separate issues. -
The world will do nothing about China and it?s domination of Hong Kong. Reason? 1.China is the worlds most powerful country and will do what it wants. 2.the other countries don?t really care. Gaynor Hill Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > True, at least we have freedom of speech not like > China and some other countries > Seeing what China is doing in Hong Kong is > terrible the world is concentrated on the virus so > they know no one's going to stop them

When we are ALL asked to limit our movements for a nationally important emergency, if you feel it doesn't apply to you just flick it off and do whatever you want. Freedom of rights, right ?

Everything you listed says we ARE a banana republic !! CP Road is a long old road, so the mod works fine regarding privacy for the car inhabitants. I doubt anyone's going to scour the entire road in search of our new neighbours.

any aquarius golf club members here?
KidKruger replied to danmaitland's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Dan There is a user on here 'Brian Tee' (but hasn't used forum for a year or so) who would probably be able to answer your query. If you played the Aquarius festival you'll have his phone no I expect as he organise/ed it. If no luck let me know by PM. -
Efforts need to be on recovering the child fox/ensuring it - have you any contacts with bodies (no pun intended) that can advise or help ? Also, what area broadly ?

Yeah I've seen and mentioned to missus. They're keeping themselves to themselves and I've not interfered as they probably need leaving alone. It occurred to me it could be someone who's self-isolating from a small accommodation originally. From what I've seen they seem to be around evenings mainly. I'm assuming they wouldn't be doing this unless they had to and that it's probably associated with current situation in some way. Either way I didn't mention on here (especially location) as I didn't want to draw attention to them. I don't smell poo there so no immediate hygiene issue IMO. And they've chosen a quiet and shaded part of the road out of everyone's way. Cute little fairy lights hanging in back of car (where they're sleeping) the other night !

What worries me is this catching-on in the area, if this guy can shoot-up foxes in gardens then presumably it applies to any gardens. Legal or no, something doesn't sit right with me about killing an animal (and it's children) just cos it makes noise, messes up your flower bed, or digs a hole under your fence. But maybe I'm just a big old softy.
