Yes - top prize to this one. It has absolutely no merit whatsoever, either to look at or (see above) to live in.

That sprawling collection of nonsense called GV15 by ED railway station. Unimaginative and depressing.

DKH is pretty good; the wood and dark grey look modern and well-coordinated. Ditto the block opposite - Mary Seacow Court or something - especially when the sun hits the bright brick-red staircase in the evening.

NB: 3-bed flat in Overhill/Underhill block: ?390k.

yes, the swap would be good, but keep some hungry sharks in there too, for the sport!

I vote Underhill/Overhill road block. They stick out like a saw thumb and have been empty for a year, no wonder either given the bedrooms are both very small and they were on the market for ?328k. Crazy !!!!!!

I love the way this forum can turn almost any conversation into estate agent genocide. Keep it up folks it?s far more entertaining than racism and homophobia which seem to be the flavour of the week at the moment.

    • We do not go there anymore, it used to be a pleasant experience, but now shoppers are made to feel like criminals and the prices are not great. The till receipt gates to stop us nicking stuff do not work half the time - I would rather shop somewhere that makes me feel welcome. We also want to support our local independents, so we are trying to eat cheaper using less costly ingredients and buy local - it's a good way for us also to lose some weight! Veg and pulses.....and less booze 😞
    • Has seemed really empty over the past few weeks, with hardly anyone in the store on Thursday lunchtime, have I missed something or are people shopping somewhere else?
    • SE23 has always been known as the over spill to SE22, for those that wish but can't afford it, however look at all the benefits SE23 has to offer, as they say, the choice is yours, oh, sorry wrong show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • I highly recommend James. I had a few sets of lights (indoor and outdoor) that were no longer working. I texted him yesterday afternoon about the problematic lights, and he had fixed them all by this morning! Very happy that he investigated the issues and found fixes, rather than immediately saying I needed to replace everything, which was the standard response by others. I had other electricians (many who are recommended on this forum) that came round to inspect the work and told me I'd need to replace the lot for a substantial cost. Extremely professional and prompt with very reasonable pricing.
