Posted a message an hour ago but seems to have gone astray - sister informed me Dulwich Hamlet is closed - my youngest is there so oh well - but what about all the parents who have just gone back this week and then find themselves unable to work?

I'm lucky in that I'm a registered childminder so work from home (ha ha) with two older ones at The Charter that's not to be decided to their delight until tomorrow!

Government wants all parents with kids aged 10 back to work - how's that supposed to happen in situations like this?

Just been out. Lots of black ice on side roads; pavements pretty treacherous.

Murco petrol station on ED Road are selling thermal gloves (men's & women's) for ?3.50 if anyone needs them. Just bought a pair - very toasty.

Good morning

Trains are running on a revised timetable, there are quite a few cancellations on Sussex routes, however Metro will run a normal service but subject to a few delays

I am afraid it is pretty much as yesterday. Please check the southern website and the journey check page

Hi, is there an issue?

I have been posting 24 over the last 24 hours and urging people to use southern website!

Just got into work at London Bridge. The 7:14 from East Dulwich was spot on time and looked like the next few trains would be okay. The worst part was the pavements. Very icy outside the station and garden centre. The ramp up to the station wasn't too bad.

Tried to look up my trains on Southern website before I left but came up with an apology that there were no live train times.

Three no 40 buses waiting on Grove Vale, not sure why as Dog Kennel Hill looked fine. Saw a 185 coming down the hill.

    • The stop outside the chippy was still closed earlier today, although the barriers I saw yesterday have been removed, so no need for the closure.  The stop outside the church across the road is now uncovered and open
    • You all have different and conflicting interests though. It isn't necessarily appropriate for him to communicate with all of you at the same time about the same issues.    You're giving more away with each post as to how these difficulties probably arose.
    • @CPR Dave He needs to communicate collectively with all of the beneficiaries.  That is the whole point of my original post.  Electronic communications are the best way of doing this, as I am doing now on this forum.  Apart from the gold digger who will get a six figure sum the rest of us are on four figures, and that is going down by the day. I'm offended by any suggestion that we are not behaving well.  What on earth do you mean?
    • Surprise, surprise. It didn't take them long, did it. This will be something of a test as to how much the council really care about parks and the environment. A footfall of 60,000. Are they mad? There is no way this park is designed for or can sustain that sort of use. Just had a look at the schedule. If allowed to go ahead, this will involve a large slice of the park (not the common) sectioned off and out of use for three weeks of May and the first week of June. Here's an idea, why not trial the festival in one of the other Southwark Parks, so the 'goodness' can be shared around the borough?
